Burgers and fries were great. Really like sweet potatos too. Service was nice. People were very laid back and very kind. Prices were crazy cheep though (less than $16 for 2 people) I am from the Houston area.
Very nice cook and wait staff.Food was excellentNo complaints at all.
Parking: Rin front of door.
Stopped at JJ's mid- afternoon on Saturday, March 4 to have a meeting with another person. Leaving there, with an hour's drive home, I wanted to take something home for my dinner. Because of acid reflux, I don't eat much at night, especially meat, but I definitely could have a vegetable, so I ordered their Okra and Tomatoes (like a gumbo), and a glass of tea. I have to say, the okra & tomatoes were the best I've ever had! A little bit sweet and full of flavor! Next time I'm in that area, I will time my visit for lunch, when I can eat whatever I want. Looking forward to trying some of their main dishes.
Food was good. Atmosphere needs lots of help.
Best country dinner, with special seasoning, the flavor is amazing and made the meal the best in a long while and I have been in Texas a while, originally from Dallas, just left El paso thank you for the amazing meal!!!
It's now Real Deal Soul Food and the Burgers Sux. Bun plain unheated dry no flavor at all ,fries greasy with a nasty grease flavor
Family run restaurant close to local hotel. True home kitchen food, fast service, can easily recommend.
Cold food. Slow service.
We were on the way home to Houston, hangry and looking for somewhere to eat. Found this little gem in the middle of nowhere. With great homemade cooking and wonderful southern charm customer service. Will definitely drop in next time we go to New Braunfels.
Stopped there for a meal on my way home to Houston after visiting someone in S.A.,.. had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with gravy and onion rings,..very very good food!!! I definitely plan on eating there every time I travel from Houston to S.A.

Awesome people, food and service. Had them cater, it was great!!
Just picked up some of their fish specials. The grilled and fried fish were both delicious, and the sides were all fresh and very good.
We popped in here to get a little dinner while stopped at the Holiday Inn ( it’s next door). The sandwiches were great and we got them to go. I had the grown up grill cheese- Yum ! And Mom has the BLT. We both loved the TX toast it was made with and homemade chips ( I ate most of them even though I’m not usually a chip eater.) A good place to go back to, all freshly made.
Amazing food. Huge portions and a friendly staff. Best place in town by far.
Best meatloaf I've ever had & exceptional service.
