Had a great time in the bar area on martini night. Clay and Desiree took excellent care of us. We really enjoy the teamwork of everyone at Merlions and of course the drinks and food.

We celebrated my husband's birthday at Merlion's last night and had reservations at the bar to take advantage of happy hour. They had our seats reserved and added an extra touch of rose petals. The service was amazing and they made us feel like royalty. Anyone who walked by asked if we needed anything or refilled our drinks. The bartender, Clay, was quick, knowledgeable about the menu, and friendly. Our food and drinks were perfection and we had a great evening. I highly recommend Merlions for a nice date night or special occasion because they go above and beyond and you won't regret it.

Food is delicious! Highly recommend the pineapple curry appetizer! Delicious. Don’t order over 2 in heat. SUPER Spicy at 2! The bar area was very loud.

Definitely 10/10 from the apps main and dessert(get the bread pudding) was amazing. Will be coming back for sure.

This restaurant is one of the reasons that we were not fearful to move to the south side of town. The Thai food at this restaurant is so authentic and delicious. The food choices on the south side of town are lacking, but this restaurant makes up for the lack of excellent Asian/Thai restaurants. We love sitting in the bar, listening to the music and enjoying some of the excellent Mixology that happens in the cocktail bar.

If you go here I hope you don’t have the experience of talking to the bartender Desiree. She’s rude and just unpleasant to speak to. Very rude. When I informed her of not liking my drink that I have gotten everytime I come in.. she grabbed a straw and taste tested from my drink… and said “I think it taste fine but I’ll have him re make it” with that being said clay is an amazing bartender and my drinks been correct and has tasted amazing the past months I’ve been coming here and he’s been behind the bar ! :) she also said she “doesn’t muddle fruit in her martinis because that’s “so 1980” and uses syrup instead. Well that’s probably why her drinks taste terrible.

Client Feedback: "The server could use some training on timing, like being MIA for 15-25 minutes at a time when we're waiting to make initial drink orders, to order apps, to order entrees and to request refills and the check...but interrupting a discussion every 5-7 minutes to check in after everything has been ordered, and standing around making unnecessary small talk after we said we were fine and trying to eat and have a conversation. Not angry or saying she ruined the experience, this is just to help understand what the issue is so she can do better going forward in recognizing the small ways she needs to be more attentive that make a big difference on the tab and the tip at the end of it all. I was a server for 20 years."

I have not experienced the service or tasted the food yet, but I am planning to take two frends this weekend. Having just completed an insurance inspection today which included inspecting the kitchen and pantry I can confirm this was the cleanest and most orderly restaurant kitchen I have ever seen, and I have inspected at least 500+ restaurant kitchens. I can confirm the back of the restaurant (kitchen & pantry) matches the what you see up front in the bar and dining rooms.

For how many good reviews this place has, i was super disappointed!! Our waitress was sweet but service was very very slow. Took over an hour for our two plates to come out. Our appetizer was the dumplings and they were really good, however the pad thai was dry and tasted like garlic bread and the tom kah soup was thick as pudding. Just disappointing and too pricey for service and food like that:(
