Pelican Grill feels like stepping into a time capsule—in a mostly good way. Think 1960s diner energy with a food-truck level of simplicity. No-frills plates, basic flatware, mason jars for drinks… oddly charming, honestly. It has that comfortable, locals-only feel, and judging by the packed room—families, couples, and what looked like a lot of regulars—it clearly has a loyal following.
For food, I kept it classic: two eggs over easy, hash browns, and bacon. The eggs and hash browns were fine—nothing offensive, nothing memorable. But the bacon… whew. Two thin, pre-cooked strips that barely took up a quarter of a very large plate. Not the end of the world, but definitely disappointing if you come in hungry or expecting a hearty breakfast. You’ll want to order extra, no question.
What really stuck with me, though, was the service. The tattooed women working there? Genuinely cool—refreshing personalities compared to much of what I’ve seen around town. Great vibe, visually and culturally. But emotionally? Ice cold. Stone-faced. Dry. It felt less like hospitality and more like they were tolerating us rather than being welcoming.
And that’s the thing—breakfast food has to work with the service, not fight against it. I left wondering if the food alone was good enough to justify coming back if I re-visited Texas and dealing with that kind of interaction again. For me, probably not.
Which is a shame, because the place itself has character and potential. A little more warmth and a little more bacon would go a long way.

Stopped here for brunch with my wife, food was mid. I got the Ruben and was hoping for a hidden gem but the sandwich was kinda flat, not much filling. Staff was friendly, service was good, price was OK.

We don't live in Seabrook anymore but we frequently drive here because we love the people! Thank y'all for being a friendly, quality place to relax for brunch. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch! Close to NASA Johnson Space Center. Great location and the food and service was excellent! It is a small place, so groups above 6-8 people might have a harder time getting a seat right away if it is very busy.

This restaurant has so much potential but this place sucks. The workers don’t even have any type of uniform. The worker stood at my table for a good 2 minutes and didn't say anything but just stare at me. I had no clue it was a waiter because she didn’t have a badge, work shirt, or a notebook to take my order. They all did have shorts that were revealing. The staff seemed so out of it and NOT FRIENDLY at all. they made me feel uncomfortable to ask for refills and a new set of silverware because they kept giving me stank faces. The silverware was NOT clean and i had to wash it in my water. They got my order wrong and when i asked them to remake it and she got offended. i won’t be coming back.

Was going at least once a week sometimes twice. I actually met the manager. She was very nice. Now that being said I will never go back again. The first bad experience I had was the waitress coughing over and over into her hand! She would also go into the kitchen and I could hear her Coughing in there! I said I need to leave. I didn’t wait for breakfast. I just left.. I did go back again because she was a nice person and the food is pretty good. I do understand needing to make a living. The next time I went, I brought a friend and the waitress we had was very rude and would not wait on us. My friend asked another waitress why she wouldn’t wait on us. Did we make her mad or something we asked. So this waitress waited on us and did a good job, but I decided never to go back. I will bring my money to another establishment. Things cost too much to be treated rudely, especially to an established customer and a first time Customer.

Me and my boyfriend went to have some breakfast. She took his drink order. Never asked me what I wanted to drink. Thought that was odd. The waitress that came over while she was sitting at the counter. She was picking her nose. I’ve never seen anything quite like that. There was not any salt on the eggs. I don’t even like salt thank God they had that crusty Tabasco sauce. I will never return and I recommend that you don’t either.

Got an avocado toast with egg on it. Nothing was supposed to be on top of my egg, there was wayy too much thick pepper and salt on top I had to scrape off. And my toast was not toasted. So it was soft and soggy. Waitress never came by and there wasn’t a lot of people there. Orange juice was hot. Didn’t get napkins. Asked 3 times for a box and napkins waited an hour to get those things. Never coming back food wasn’t that great either.

First time and it was so delicious. Eggs Benedict broke perfectly over muffin and chicken. Eagles nest was so massively fulfilling. Pancakes were fluffy and buttery. Waffle was divine with the spicy wing sauce over. Wings were delicious but size of wings could have been a little bigger. They were the size of chicken nuggets. Portions on the eagles nest were not consistent as we had two orders at our table but definitely delicious.
