Discovered Classic Cafe after visiting the Space Center. My husband and I had seafood dinners, shrimp for me and red fish for him. Treated ourselves to pecan pie and ice scream for dessert. Everything tasted fresh and was very tasty. Staff were friendly and gave good advice regarding the best food to order. This place is a gem!

We had a wonderful experience here as complete tourists from England, it felt like a nice place for locals. It was really busy which we thought was a good sign so we gave it a go, the staff were super friendly and welcoming and helped with suggestions. The lemonade was great and the food was so affordable. We were so full after our meal but we wanted to try the cream pie, we weren’t disappointed!! Thank you for a great first meal in Texas!

Brad does a great job to keep the food quality up. Bartenders and wait staff do an excellent job. Love this place.

Varied menu, great selection. Everything we tried was cooked just right. The pie was house made and delicious. Definitely a comfort food paradise.

We came in at 8:30pm. Supposedly they close at 11 pm. We were there just for a cup of coffee and dessert. As soon as we entered the foyer, they told us to leave. They said they were going to fog the place. I use a rollator to get around so it isn't easy for me to get in and out of the car or the restaurant. They were not welcoming in any sense; I have written them off of my list of go -to places.

A Seabrook Staple for Over 30 Years — Classic Café Never Disappoints
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 out of 5)

My family has been coming to The Classic Café for over 30 years, and it remains one of our most beloved spots in Seabrook. This place is more than just a restaurant—it’s a historic local staple and a must-visit if you’re in the area.

Despite having changed ownership a few times over the decades, it’s held on to its charm, quality, and excellent service. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, so parking can be a bit tricky, especially during peak times, but it’s absolutely worth the effort.

The menu is incredibly diverse, offering everything from fresh red snapper and crab dishes to classic burgers and onion rings. They do a great job of blending casual comfort food with Gulf Coast seafood staples. The ranch dressing on the salad is so good it’s worth a special mention—it’s one of our family’s favorites!

They offer kid-friendly options, and whether you’re a small group or coming with a big party, they’re usually able to accommodate. It’s a wonderful spot for birthdays, anniversaries, or casual family dinners, and they often go the extra mile to make special occasions feel memorable.

We even bought one of their restaurant T-shirts as merch—something we rarely do unless we truly love a place. That says a lot.

Final thoughts: Just a few minutes from the Kemah Boardwalk area, Classic Café is a quieter, more authentic dining experience compared to the tourist-heavy restaurants nearby. If you’re visiting the Seabrook or Kemah area, don’t miss this gem. We absolutely adore it and will keep coming back as we always have.

Back half and outdoor patio primarily bar with bar atmosphere, very lively! while the front areas are classic diner where conversations are easy and seating is comfortable. The staff are amazing and very attentive. The food is very good with choices from premium steaks to burgers, they have salads and a nice seafood selection as well. All in all, a great place to eat or drink or both and enjoy!

$40 with tip for 2 take out burgers only 1 order of fries. I regret spending so much for nothing special at all! Burgers with fries same price as with fries. Not special and not worth it.

For Favor orders: Favor hangs drivers out to dry and they don't even order food until they arrive at store. This causes a huge backlog. Call ahead. Tell them you have ordered. They will do the best they can to accommodate you. Amy was so sweet and helpful!

Hubby and I got seated right away but the food took around 40 minutes to arrive and it was just OK for the price. My fish was overcooked and hubby's fries we're undercooked. There are probably better seafood restaurants to eat at.
