Very disappointing. We didn't get to eat at all.Edit: they are temporarily closed. They have NO sign on the premises, which would avoid a lot of confusion. I still stand by the review I posted until I can experience the place.----------------Original Review:We arrived shortly after their posted hours. There's no clear entrance. We wandered into what looked to be the "backyard" and there was a cluttered porch, partially blocking the only door we saw.Not seeing any way to get in (or instructions/directions to wait, etc.), I called the nuber posted here: disconnected/out of service. I called the (different) number on the sign posted, went to voicemail. For those of you that order over the phone: how/what number do you use? Because none I can see are working.I'd love to give the food a chance, but I'm not driving an hour for the place to -maybe- be open and not answer any phone calls.

Haven't eaten there in awhile decided to pick up something this evening the carbonara. It's absolutely wonderful. It's a great place to call your order in to bring something home.

Best Chicken Parm and Ribeye steak Ive ever had. They even have gourmet hot dogs that kick Nathans out the park. Homemade cooking from an actual home is impossible to beat. Give them a shout to have your dinner prepared once twice or seven times a week.

The place looked amazing, and Google said it was open, but we got there, the place was closed up, and no one answered the phones, so we went down the street to Noe's

I haven't been to Guero's since well before Covid, but recently I have been treated to several carry-out lunches which left me wanting more. Actually, they were brought to our meeting place by Craig, the chef/owner who the place is probably named after. Güero means fair-haired, or in this case likely means gringo, which Craig is. Craig, in my opinion, is the best chef in Seguin, not counting BBQ and Asian fare. His tacos are excellent, but not really Mexican in origin. The lunches he has been bringing to our meetings can only be described as gourmet cuisine. I have also been to a couple of high-end private dinners that he catered, and I keep hoping that one day he will favor Seguin with another high-end restaurant like he had over a decade ago.

Everything I have eaten from here has been spot on.

Guero's Backyard is a bit different than your standard restaurant. The wonderfully talented chef prepares one extraordinary meal per day, and posts it on Facebook. You text him your name, order size, and pickup time. Show up, pay, and take this amazing food home, back to your hotel room, or wherever and savor. We have never had a disappointing meal from Guero's...every one is memorable. The Chicken Piccata is my favorite, and is particularly fine. In a town with dozens of mediocre restaurants, Guero's is a gem. Hopefully someday he will open again for dining in, but for now we're just grateful he's here!

Perfect! The Chicken Piccata is our favorite. Cooked to perfection with a lovely beurre blanc sauce. The salad dressing was to die for. We are so lucky to have such a talented chef here in Seguin, there is no one who can compare. Thank you!

Seems like a great place, but I've only eaten there once. Would love to get the chance to eat there more often but everytime I go it seems like I catch them when theyre on break or something? Even tho the website will say they are open for business. Idk really

We have been here multiple times, and every time it's fantastic! They are doing family-style meals right now. The food is fresh, full of flavor, presented beautifully, and even the kids enjoy. I recommend to everyone! Go with dessert; you will be happy you did. We will be back again and again.

If you are looking for a gourmet, carry out meal, this is the place!Picked up our first meal from here last night and was blown away by how good it was. There is not a restaurant in Seguin that serves gourmet food like Guero’s Backyard. Very reasonably priced. Treat yourself.
