Stopped in Shamrock overnight during road trip. Only real restaurant open on a Sunday night was Grif’s (other than fast food places). Good variety on the menu. Reasonable prices ! Generous portions. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend !

If I could leave negative stars here, I would. I can't believe the reviews I read. This has got to be the worst place in Texas to eat. The service sucks, the food is mediocre, and the prices are too high. I should have went to McDonald's

Great, friendly staff. Love these small town steak houses. Food was absolutely delicious. Professionalism was evident in the staff. Served quickly. Excellent stop after a long day driving.

Over charged by 40 dollars. Food was all cold after we waited an hour for our food . Was charged 75.86 for a fry , mac and cheese and a chicken fry steak dinner, and 2 drinks . Ridiculous

This is an interesting place. The atmosphere is a bit old-fashioned, close to 1980-90 for me. Steaks were amazing, clean , and the toilet. Very polite and helpful waiter.

I ordered aspargas. 2 spears was served, and the waitress confirmed that this is a standard amount of a serving. The bacon was half raw due to improper bundle size. Plus extra is paid for it. I ordered a sandwich without a bun, and if I wanted lettuce and tomato, thank was extra. I gave them a bun. Chicken habinaro was tasty.

It's not indicated outside but you can't go wrong. Rich and varied menu. The salad with beef is delicious (steak salade) as is the honey chicken breast. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes are excellent. Fair prices and certainly not "inflated" for tourists. The waitress was very nice and quick. A must try when you are on this stretch of Route 66.

Service was quick and attentive. The food was outstanding. Two three adults and a kid were all very happy with our meals. The rolls were especially delicious, but everything was well seasoned.

Parking: You can park on the street or their parking lot.

Kid-friendliness: Kid options were decent.

Me and my girlfriend stopped here on our way home from vacation. It has a really homie small town feel to it. My girlfriend and I both got the 10oz ribeye cooked to perfection. She had mixed veggies with hers and she said it was astonishing super flavorful. I had the mash potatoes with my steak those potatoes were out of this world good. They were creamy yet stiff just melt in your mouth

Really glad to see this steakhouse open again. Food was good, except for the fries-overdone, but still soggy. Steak prices kind of high, especially when you have to pay another $4 for a side. Good service-friendly!
