We stopped in on a whim and wow… we had no idea what we were missing! The BBQ was absolutely amazing — full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Everything we tried was delicious.
What made it even better was how friendly and welcoming everyone was. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home.

RARAS Texas Cafe is a hidden gem for travelers passing through town. The BBQ is absolutely amazing, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The slow cooked Brisket served on freshmade tortillas is delicious, and the BBQ Brisket Taco is really solid. The Sandwich is hands down the highlight and the star of the show. The brisket quesadillas are excellent, and the meat plates are served in large portions. The potato salad is a decent, classic side, and the sweet tea is great. All the food is delicious and quickly served. The customer service is 10/10, and the staff is friendly and welcoming, making everyone feel right at home. The restaurant is very clean. This is a must-stop on main street in Shamrock for great food and even better hospitality.
