Driving from Mazatlan Mexico usually stop at Amarillo downtown decided to go further this time and found a little place called Shamrock Texas what a treasure was advised to go to Metropol Saloon was fantastic had ribeye steak ask for it cooked medium rare and surprise it was cooked perfectly the mashed potatoes I had on the side were hot and tasty and my wife had salmon and it was cooked great also very tasty what a surprise we will stop there on our way back when we go to Mazatlan...read full review
I rated The Metropole high based mostly on character. Am I back in the Old West? No I'm in Shamrock, Texas.Old country music playing, cowboys at the bar and rodeo on the big screen makes this place super unique and memorable, but my favorite was the high heel cowboy boots on a rather stylish customer.Food was fine and service excellent. Can't wait to go back some day for another dose.

Great atmosphere! The menu is off the chain! Especially the mashed potato salad!!
