Food gone downhill last few years. How hard is it to make an over easy egg? Should be common sense. Took 3 times to get over easy eggs after canceling order. New menu sucks. Used to love coming here. Only ate there last 2 years cause hubby liked. Now we never go back

The meats were hot, but the sides were lukewarm at best.

Get the order go home open it up and yup you guessed its the same wrong order again. I get to eat sides tonight yay me. The icing on the cake I paid more to not eat my order.

We have been to this location twice in the last month, both times had a similar experience. The food seemed fresh but was barley warm, more like room temperature. On our last visit, about 10 minutes after we ordered our food, our waiter returned to tell us they were out of one of the entrees we ordered. This resulted in one of our meals being delivered cold while they prepared the replacement order. Seriously, does the kitchen not communicate with the wait staff as to what they are out of.

Sat down and was greeted by Ainsley! She was eager, warming and friendly, i had some very specific requests and she suggested the perfect meal, something i did not even see on the menu. She listened and provide amazing service. Mj the shift leader came reinforcing why this is a great place to eat, talk about back to basics!

We just had dinner at the Cracker Barrel in Sherman. We had seen the Billboard advertisement showing the country fried steak and it looked so good we decided we would stop on our way back from the errand we were on. We ordered the country fried steak to split between us. We ordered the 3 sides of mashed potatoes, small whole carrots and a side salad. It took a few minutes for the rolls to come out as the corn bread rolls were in the oven. All this went fine. She did miss my husband’s drink but we got that taken care of. When she brought the entree the mashed potatoes had a huge spoiled spot right on top which means the person making the potatoes didn’t find the bad potato, the person expediting the order didn’t see that they had a spoiled section they were putting on the plate and our waitress brought it out without noticing it. I’m glad we had ordered it with no gravy. The potatoes were not nice & creamy but rather brick like. I cut sections off like I would a pie. Not pleasant. My husband and I both agreed, for a country fried steak, Cracker Barrel’s is disappointing. The ones we have at other restaurants lay from end to end on the plate, often hanging over. This one could have covered one half of the plate but I do have to say, for us splitting it, it was a good size. It had an unusual taste and I couldn’t determine if it was the meat, the batter, or the gravy. It wasn’t a bad taste, just different and so, noticeable. There was a black spot on the inside of my drink glass about half way down and I was drinking milk so it was very noticeable. I don’t think the waitress would have been able to see it as she brought the glass out empty, but I ended up only drinking about a 1/3 of my milk. Finally, one thing that always bothers me when I go out to eat for anything other than breakfast, is not being offered dessert. It cheats the establishment out of a sale and the waiter/waitress out of a larger tip. Here again we were not offered a tip. When we are not offered dessert the tip gets reduced from what it would have been based on what the tip would have been if we had turned down the dessert and had the same ending dollar amount. THINK servers, you ask about appetizers, some people will even take dessert home if they’re too full to eat it right then.

Food was served lukewarm, just room temp. We did not have time to send it back. We have had this problem at other Cracker Barrel restaurants. Corn muffins were burned. Meat loaf was not tender--contained mystery gristle meat every bite. A cup of coffee with no refills = $3.19. Better coffee and less expensive at McDonalds. But always very friendly employees.

Our first experience was in Janesville, Wi, in 1997. I was with a friend , I had vegetable Soup, and omg it was delicious. That weekend I suggested to hubby we go for dinner on way home after shopping. I had chicken & dumplings- do not remember what he had but we left in love with Cracker Barrel . When we moved to Md. we ate at Cracker Barrel all the away across country to our new home. We are now retired living in Oklahoma still enjoying our visits @ your Sherman , Texas location. My favorite dish now is chicken broccoli cheddar meal. I wish it was on your menu more often than Wednesday. Plus I love the clothing, the clothes are great. I love the cute children outfits, and I have lots of shirts and gift items as well. Wish you were in Durant,Ok where I live. As I am 84 now and driving is going to be an issue one day and I will miss all those home style meals. Never had a bad meal at Cracker Barrel in 38 years. Love your stores .

This was our second choice. It was our family of four. We were seated immediately, and there were open tables surrounding us. My spouse loves Cracker Barrel. We were greeted quickly by our waiter to take our drink orders. Our food order was placed fairly quickly as well. However, our food was delivered late and it was not delivered by our waiter. They apologized for the food being late. Our baked potato was not ready and they said they were waiting on it. The food was not hot. From the time our drinks were delivered to getting our food was 27 minutes and it was 37 minutes before we got the loaded baked potato. Our waiter checked on us one time. We had to flag down our waiter for our check. We were ready to go and he was standing around in the kitchen. We could see him waiting on food to deliver to another, larger table. I ordered the pot roast and it was very good. The shepherds pie was OK. The side of chicken and dumplings was too salty to eat. Coleslaw was good and the grilled chicken was good. I personally enjoyed my food (could have been hotter) and drink, but service made it unpleasant. There were tables around us that never had customers. My spouse still gave a $12 tip. :/

I am a CB lover but the store in Sherman Tx is lacking on many levels!! I have ordered food for various occasions se real times in my four years in this area and every single time it’s less than I was hoping for!! Wrong stuff, less food on an order than I should get for the money I spent and not the quality I always was used to at many others across the country!! I’ve eaten at CB in many states traveling and it’s always good old country food but Sherman is the one with more issues than I ever expect!! Get it together folks cause you are dragging up the rear in performance and quality!! ✌️😩

The cashier charged my card twice for my lunch. When called out on it she stated it didn’t go through the first time so it had to be ran again. I checked my bank account and it had been deducted twice. Showed it to management and was told they would have to fill out a form and send it to corporate. I was furious. It took almost 4 weeks to get my money reimbursed with no help from the store managers. They told me they would contact me but didn’t. I ended up finding the email to corporate and took care of it myself. I just received my refund. I have asked 3 times for some type of compensation such as gift cards but have not heard anything back. Cracker Barrel has always been one of my favorite places to eat and shop but I have a bad taste in my mouth now and may eat at a different store but not the one in Sherman.
