Had an outstanding dinner with my wife at Dannis. I ordered the Bayou platter, everything was fresh and delicious, an authentic Cajun dish that I enjoyed very much. I had the bread pudding for dessert, would highly recommend! Great food and atmosphere, staff was wonderful. We will be back here!

We ordered the frog legs and a cup of chowder for our appetizer, both were amazing! I ordered the deep dirty south plate and it was absolutely an authentic cajun experience! Will definitely be eating here again, great staff and atmosphere!

We ate here tonight as our weekly date night. And WHAT A CHOICE! We had the cheese dip, New Orleans pasta and I had the dirty South. Everything was phenomenal! My fave place and where my heart belongs is New Orleans. The people who own this place are honoring their New Orleans roots by their very tasty and home cooked (large portioned) meals!! We WILL be returning and most likely for our next date night 😉. HIGHLY recommend and encourage ALL to check them out! 💜💛

I am a very picky water and I am dating a Louisiana boy so the fact that this place will be added regularly to our monthly dining is saying a lot. Love the atmosphere and the service is great too.

Hidden gem tucked away in a strip center. Small but quaint.
I'm somewhat of a gumbo snob, and that's some of the best authentic gumbo I've had in a long time. My catfish was well fried, too. The service was great.
Just passing through town, but if you're a local, you need to support this place.

If you go there you don't have to be in a rush. Second time there and it took 1 hour and 30 minutes from the time we entered the building until we left. It took 55 minutes from the time we ordered until we got our food.

But let me tell you this, it's worth the wait. Food is great, frog legs were delicious, our main courses were good.

First impressions are important. No smile or greeting when we walked in. People sitting looking like they had been waiting too long. Walked out immediately. You have to do better to earn the respect of loyal Sherman customers.

The hidden gem in Sherman. One of my favorite places to eat. Excellent food and friendly staff. Definitely a must if you like Cajun type food

Let me tell you if you have not eaten at this place you are totally missing out! The food is fantastic. The drinks are great and the service is so friendly. You may have to wait a minute, but it’s definitely worth the wair!!

Make your own handmade budan balls with sausage and other meats ,,not the frozen from sams,,, it's not that hard to make your own,, then I would be coming by there 3 or 4 times a week !!! And make them big!!!! HOMEMADE!!!!! I can't find any place in Sherman that makes homemade budan balls with fried rice and spicy sausage 😫

We stopped in here for our 6th month anniversary, and we’re so happy we did. We ordered boudin balls, the jazz festival, and the kickin French quarter. It was all excellent. We ended up staying well after closing speaking with one of the owners, and she never made us feel rushed to get out the door despite the late hour. Very reasonably priced, cozy atmosphere - a place that feels so homey, we can’t wait to come back! A gem in Sherman for sure. If you’re looking for good Cajun food, this is the place to go!

We just rolled through here on our way home, and are so glad we stopped. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food was excellent, and the staff was so incredibly kind! We ended up staying after closing time and had a fantastic conversation with the owner. 10/10, will absolutely be back. A gem of a place!!
