I haven't eaten here yet (menu is small bar snacks like pizza & wings), but the people are friendly, the staff is busy (but attentive) and the karaoke is fun... though the selection is somewhat basic+country.

I visited Rendezvous in Sherman on Thursday and, unfortunately, had a very uncomfortable experience. I was one of maybe 2 hispanic people at the bar, and the bartender, Kayla, treated me noticeably differently than the white guests around us. She was cold, dismissive, and barely acknowledged me, while offering warm, friendly service to others.
A friend of mine, who is also Hispanic, received the same dismissive treatment. In contrast, our white friends were served with smiles, conversation, and full attention. The difference in service felt too obvious to ignore—and it felt racially motivated.
What’s even more concerning is that after sharing my experience with a few of Kayla’s coworkers, they admitted this isn’t the first time she’s provided less-than-stellar service. That kind of behavior, especially when it appears to follow a pattern, shouldn’t be tolerated in any professional environment.
I truly hope the management at Rendezvous takes this seriously. Every guest deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race or background.

Great little bar. Found a small hidden gem inside, the pizza! Oh my it was good. Fantastic bartenders and good drinks. When in Sherman don’t forget to stop in.

Allows anyone to work there will allow their employees to touch you and hit you with glass with no consequences! The bouncer lied on my husband to the laws and was rude and unprofessional the whole night! I wish ole dude still worked the door he was the best and fair!

This place was exactly what I needed. Relaxed, local atmosphere and very welcoming. Pizza is great. Better beer selection would be nice, but still great.
The servers are really nice and the place has potential, it’s a shame the owner blocked all Spanish music. I would think he would want for his business to grow and ultimately help out his staff on generating their tips.
