Bubby's BBQ is delicious! They have excellent customer service, their restaurant is always clean, and the food rightfully sells out! Also note, you most definitely need the banana pudding to complete your order!

Moved to Smithville in September and have been aching to try this joint, being walking distance from our new house.
FINALLY got the chance to and Jay and his wife did not disappoint!!!
My family visiting us even got to try out the food, man ole man, why didn’t I push harder to come and try!
Basically don’t even hesitate, just go!
Jay was extremely friendly and explained the whole deal after asking if it was our first time. Gave us a little sample as he made our servings, just watching the brisket fall to pieces as he used HIS HANDS!
All the sauces, and extras lived up to the hype and hands down beautiful execution on sides, standing ovation to his wife on that part.
We will return bc it was absolutely worth every penny.

This is one of the best barbecue places that we have been to, and we have been through many of the best barbecue places in Texas. This is a family owned business and relatively new being in business for just over a year. But already they are selling out of barbecue before days end. It will not be long before this place is on the barbecue map for Central Texas. Everything we had was delicious. Again, highly recommend giving this place a try but get there early because they do sell out. They have a stoplight in the window green means plenty of barbecue yellow means hurry your butt up and red is try again the next day. Excellent service.

Delicious real Texas Brisket!! Juicy, flavorful, tender! Don't miss the Jalapeño cream corn!!! I normally would not try banana pudding, but we ended up trying Bubby's banana pudding, and when I say it was delicious, that is an understatement! We will be back! And the owner could not have been more pleasant, kind, and respectful! What an awesome experience, and an amazing meal!
We consider Bubby's our #1 location for pulled pork. The brisket is fabulous too. We were lucky enough to get some peppered turkey too. This is now our go-to place to satisfy our BBQ cravings.

Driving through and wanted to pick up some BBQ to take back to Houston. Excellent service, inviting and great prices. Two hours later my husband and I got to enjoy the best brisket we’ve ever had (and he works at a bbq place in Baytown). The jalapeño sausage is spicy and flavorful. The sauces had more of a vinegar base, one with nice tang and the other a heat to it - both I loved personally. 10/10 would go again we love supporting local

I have had a lot of brisket and this is another great one. Great smoke ring and bark. Their Texas Twinkies are the star though. So many amazing flavors in a small package. Also their Mac is honestly the best Mac I have ever had. Creamy and very cheesy you don’t want to skip on that.

Stopped here on the way back to Houston from Austin. Friendly staff and fantastic BBQ! Have tried many bbq places along Highway 71 and the brisket here is going towards the top of the list!
