I’m in absolute awe with this place. I went to support because I absolutely love the mission and purpose but I was not prepared for such a quality meal and coffee. The only thing that makes sense to me is that my community agrees that this is a fantastic dining experience and the over donators offset the financial loss this place takes to feed the community and a pay what you can basis. Qualify food, quality service, surpassed my expectations. Will be back, God bless your work!!
This place is a must if you’re in the area. Food is good and portions are large enough to share. The atmosphere is casual and has welcoming and artsy indoor and outdoor space. The concept is “pay what you can”/suggested donation and goes towards the recovery program that houses and employs the staff. The suggested donations are a great value. Bring cash. This go round they were out of all of the Benedicts, Java coffee options, unsweetened tea, any soda, I gave up and ordered a side of potato casserole and bacon. Then walked to the Smithville Coffee House, because I could actually get something to drink there.
