Insane eating experience. If you're a fan of ramen, you'll be in for a treat. Definitely a little more pricey but you get what you pay for. The service always feels like you're at a fine dining place, and You're treated to the chef's appetizers that change daily. Great selection and everything feels exciting to eat.

Honestly, the food was AMAZING with great flavor like a home cooked meal. I’ve been to other places and nothing compares to the vibes and taste. My favorite was definitely the sweet potato dessert. They even came with a torch to toast the top. 10/10 experience!

Kid-friendliness: They offer three kids menu items which I think is reasonable.

I never write reviews, but was compelled to do so here. Definitely a unique experience. If you are looking for a chain experience, go elsewhere. It is a bit small, but I thought the decor was cute and inviting. I went to the website saw it was reservation only but had no problem booking thirty minutes in advance on a Friday night. So those who docking stars for them not doing their due diligence is a bit silly. The best part of course was the delicious food! I wanted a bit of everything and definitely over indulged. In summation you can’t really go wrong with anything in the menu. Looking forward to going again.

I love El Charlatan in Socorro, Texas! It's such a unique and creative restaurant, and the food is always amazing. I especially love the homemade Ganzito for dessert. It's a vanilla cake with strawberry jam topped with a chocolate glaze, sprinkles, and gold. It's absolutely delicious.I've been to El Charlatan several times, and I've always had a great experience. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The menu features a variety of Mexican dishes with a modern twist, even ramen and baos. There's something for everyone to enjoy.I've tried a number of different dishes at El Charlatan, and I've never been disappointed. Some of my favorites include the tacos al pastor, the enchiladas de mole, and the carne asada. But my absolute favorite dish is the homemade Ganzo for dessert. It's so rich and decadent, and it's the perfect way to end a meal.I highly recommend El Charlatan to anyone looking for a delicious and unique dining experience. The food is amazing, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. And don't forget to try the home made Ganzo for dessert! It's the best!

Excellent tacos, but the kim chi and Korean fried chicken was unbearably spicy. The service is very good and attentive. It is byob and you can buy different craft beers at a little shop next door. There is no air conditioning which can make it very hot when the restaurant is packed. I know it's an old building, but you could retrofit with mini splits and make it much more pleasant. We'll definitely go back when the weather cold down.

Vegetarian options: The shrimp tacos and tofu mushroom tacos are wonderful.

The food was great and pretty quick too. The service was on point. Everything tasted so good! Definitely would like to go back, maybe at night when it's cooler. It was kinda warm in the dining room.

Vegetarian options: Had plenty of options, including vegan.

Kid-friendliness: Offered a kids menu.

Dietary restrictions: Some Gluten-free options available.

My husband and I tried the plate that comes with a little bit of everything. It was delicious , the only thing that I was not “wow” about it was the chocolate cake but everything else was really good.If you are going to try that , I recommend either kinda share with someone or not eating at all that day before you go.?

The food was simply outstanding, and the atmosphere was electric. There was a blend of Asian-Mexican flavors that compares to no other. It’s worth the visit and to sample all the different dishes!

This is my new favorite. Everything is excellent here. The bread service is different everyday. I tried the Bourdain Ramen. My friend had the Panzón. We did not have a reservation but we were early and we able to get a table. I recommend getting a reservation.

The restaurant had such a beautiful decor and feel to it I admired it all. The lucha vibe was perfect to look at while waiting and just enjoying my time. I loved my meal and could taste and see the time and thought put into the dishes served to the table , beginning with the what I am thinking similar to an amuse-bouche was delicious, I stepped away from the table when it was brought out so I wasn't able to hear what it consisted of but nonetheless it was memorable in my opinion, it was fresh and left me curious for what the other menu items would be like but assured that anything from this menu is going to be a good unique experience. Thank you for the meal

This Review is intended for anyone who has not been here before so you know what to expect. It was our first time here also. We saw it on Instagram and wanted to try it out.BEWARE: As others have mentioned, we got here as doors were opening at 3:00 pm(just like us there were other walk ins), as soon as we walked in we were asked if we had a reservation, we didn't, got a weird face from the waiter, but luckily there was a table available and we were seated. Based on the face that he made, we asked the waiter if reservation was required and he said yes, as they are a very small place. It would be nice to have this warning somewhere in social media or webpage that it is mainly by reservation so one doesn't make the drive and risk not being seated. Here are other things to know.

Parking: Parking is to the side of the hacienda, a dirt lot across the street, I had a girl in wheelchair and was a little difficult to navigate through the dirt. No handicap Parking anywhere. The trash can is in the lot where you park and does not give you a pleasant smell as you walk in or when you finish eating.Getting to the restaurant: Once you come in the side you will walk into a patio, which leads to the different options available, El Charlatan is to the far back right side. It does have a ramp on the entrance for a wheelchair but is tough to get to the door through the dirt without pushing help.Ambient: Inside is a pretty chill place, but there is no AC, they just have fans around the space. It was quite hot when we went! Eating Ramen in the hot ambient, had us sweating. We asked the waiter if its usually that hot or if the AC was not working and he said, that's how it is! I think it definitely needs an AC.Food: When it came to the food it is quite savory and unique, can't complain there. The fresh, warm tortillas served with miso butter to start you off are quite delicious. We got the guacamole with chicharrones and is also quite good. We came mainly for the Ramen, the presentation was excellent and the Campechana was delightful with great flavor. Kids ordered the Bourdain Ramen and really liked it also. It is a little pricey but overall the food in my opinion gets 4/5 stars. My rating is an overall rating. For the prices that it manages and the clientele they are trying to target, the small details make a big difference. Cause great food with not so good ambient or service is a come once only restaurant in my opinion.

Parking: Dirt lot, park wherever, no handicap Parking anywhere.

Wheelchair accessibility: Difficult for anyone with wheelchair to get to the door. They do have a ramp once you make it to the door.

I went to this restaurant today and I would like to suggest that you avoid this place. There are so many better alternatives in the local area. My story is that of people full of arrogance, drunk on temporary success. Please don't try to call them or message them. They don't pick up the phone and the voice mailbox is full. They are too good and too busy to talk to any customers. When we entered the courtyard, we heard some really loud shouting coming from a building on the restaurant premises. The person was yelling on the top of his lungs, "I hate you, I f______g hate you, I hate you." This was followed by a loud banging sound. I hope nobody got hurt. A person shortly appeared from where the yelling was coming from. The person I was with pulled me behind a wall as it was quite scary. When we got to hostess, she told us that we were 20 minutes late and they only allow 15 minutes. I told her that we tried to calI many times but nobody answered the phone. She said they don't have a phone. I asked to speak with the manager. Shortly, the same guy we had seen earlier appeared. He was in no mood to do anything for his customer. The remainder of the conversation can be described as rude, arrogant loud and disrespectful. All coming from this manager. We left and we shall never return to this establishment. No business in the customer service business should treat their customers in such an arrogant and disrespectful way. There are so many other good options in the El Paso area.
