The food was just okay. It was a bit bland. The thing that was off putting was the rudeness of the wait staff. I was being treated by my client to lunch and she seemed more concerned with trying to impress my affluent client instead of providing good service. My client told me to order food and when I told the server what I wanted, she said no we are not getting that because that’s not what my client got last time. But isn’t it about what I am ordering today? So she did not place my order and instead ordered what she thought would impress my client more which was the tofu. However; my client cannot eat egg, and I cannot eat fried foods or rice. We asked her simply not to bring more rice because we would not be able to eat it and she rolled her eyes at me and stared at me as if I committed a crime. Then at the end of the meal kept pressuring my client for her phone number and to come over and cook for her. Overall a really tacky experience for mediocre food.
Probably one of the best Malaysian food in Dfw hands down

Is Malacca Cafe halal restaurant?
Food was ok, not the best. Service wasn’t great. We tried the sampler for appetizers, Nasi Lemak, CKT, Roti Canai. Taste wise not that great.

Been looking for authentic Malay/Indo/Singaporean resturants. Good thing this popped up on google since there’s not much in the area. Glad we tried it! Food is amaaaazing! We love everything we ordered. Flavorful and servings are big. Service is phenomenal. Will def come back! I can drink Guli Guli everyday!

Always trying to find a good Malaysian restaurant on this side of the world, finally found a good one! Ordered their Nasi Lemak, Satay, and Limau Kasturi/Calamansi with sour plum since I was alone, and here's my thought;
The satay was the best I've tasted so far in the Northern hemisphere. You can see that they used actual kunyit/turmeric to marinate and the sauce is not the typical American peanut butter sauce but real satay sauce. They might have reduced the spiciness to cater Western palate but they are smart enough to have that sambal on the side in case you are looking for that Malaysian spiciness, add it and it will just feel like home.
Now the Nasi lemak was good with the sambal tumis, peanut, and ikan bilis, cucumber 🥒 , egg, and even an acar that was good. The rice might be less lemak than usual but still it's hit the spot. The chicken curry was generous and good but I would recommend that they should give an option to replace 1 or 2 of the 3 chicken pieces for let's say, a satay stick or fried tofu for better variety. Then lastly the Calamansi with sour plum juice was that good, I nearly asked for a shot of vodka to mix with it in the end.
Overall it was worth going to if you missed Malaysian food like I do.

Good food and great service. The fact that their bathroom is spotless tells me that they care about the restaurant and their customers. The music is really calming as well.

We’ve visited here several times over the past few years and have always enjoyed the food (especially their nasi lemak) but last night, their service really shined. Our party consisted of a few adults and small children and one of the waiters really went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. Although our previous visits have always been good, this was the best visit we have had there and we will certainly come back!

The food here was so good and authentic! We got the roti canai, laksa, hokkien mee, teh tarik and cincau susu. The waitstaff was also super kind and helpful when we had a situation happen. I might be biased because Malaysian food is my favorite food, but this was so fire. The food also came out super quick. Definitely recommend!!
