Went just before 5pm so the restaurant was empty. Nice ambience but hard to tell since no other patrons were present. Ordered the Malacca satay chicken skewers and the Malacca sizzling tofu. The skewers were tender and had a nice char. Usual peanut dipping sauce was delicious. We visited this place twice within the one week of visiting family nearby as this is very authentic food that everyone enjoyed. We tried an array of options family-style during our visits from the Satay and the sampler to roti canai with curry chicken (loved the spice and flavor of this). Malacca Cafe has one of the most creative atmosphere! They had two projectors that displayed some fishes in the background! Very creative! My wife and I went here to check out some Malaysian food in DFW area.
