I have been to Opie’s a few times, I work in the area and there are few to no choices for lunch. I was there for lunch several months ago and a man (the owner I think) was there with his dog. Three weeks ago and there was a lady that had her dog. Last Saturday I had my dog with me it started raining so I decided to take a break for lunch to wait the rain out, I was told no dogs allowed. I replied I would not normally bring my dog ( 13 yo black lab) in but it was raining and I can not or would not leave her in the truck and I had seen dogs in there before I.e the owners cane corso. Her reply was he is the owner and he can do what he wants. She is correct and so can I, I will be taking me company food needs elsewhere. I will no longer recommend them to any of my customers

The bbq is ok, not bad, very typical average Texas bbq. Meets expectations. Portions are ok, not big not small. Service is ok, almost good. Since it was my first time there, I didn't know anything. They weren't especially helpful or nice, but they weren't rude either.

Some of the best BBQ I have ever had and the sides were amazing. Especially that Tater Tot casserole. I have the brisket, Ribs, potato salad, and tater tot casserole. Ribs were the highlight. Will be back for sure!

All the meats are smoked to perfection. Best Cobbler I have ever had! My 10 year old daughter said it was the best Mac and Cheese she has ever had.
