“Just moved to spicewood area from San Diego and was pleasantly surprised to find delicious Mexican food. Had heard all about Tex Mex and wasn’t looking forward to it. This was great authentic Mexican food. Will definitely be back again soon.”

“Loved this place! Very eclectic decor, very welcoming staff. Comfortable seating, cosmopolitan decor. Menu was great, service was friendly and well-times. The food was fantastic, we had the shrimp and tuna appetizers, and the red fish for dinner, all was highly enjoyable. Top that off with a decent wine list, and all in all an excellent experience!”

“It doesn’t get anymore “Texas” than Gary P. Nunn performing at Poodie’s Roadhouse. This experience was everything I wanted it to be. Great music cold beer friendly people even one of the best burgers you will ever have all in a real deal Texas Roadhouse! If we lived closer we’d be there every week! I can’t say enough good things! This was truly one of the best musical experiences I’ve ever been to! Great show! Poodie’s Roadhouse provided a great Texas experience. Special thanks to owner Sharon Burke for making our night so special! Get there in time to catch a beautiful sunset . Come hungry cause the burgers and other food is great! All of the regulars we talked to were friendly and welcoming. Put this on your list of must visits!”

“Best tacos around!! A staple Spicewood food trailer for me. I have been enjoying “Compadres Tacos” since they opened years ago! Compadres is hands down the best tasting and best value food trailer in Spicewood. The owner and his family are genuine and committed to great service! My pro-tip is to call your order in ahead of time because the space is tight inside when it’s busy. If needed, ask for English, there’s always someone to help!! :) it’s the breakfast tacos and lunch tacos for me”

“My friend and I were camping nearby and stopped here for some lunch tacos. We tried 3 different tacos on corn tortillas and they were all delicious. Good sized tacos also. They had shaded picnic tables available to eat at. Friendly service. Highly recommend checking this taco trailer out!”

“With only ONE DAY’s notice (I know, I know… I’m a procrastinator,) Meg created the MOST delicious cake anyone in my family has ever eaten. Seriously, my husband doesn’t even eat cake and he had TWO slices.🤯 It was simply beautiful and tasty and she made it very easy to order and pickup. We will definitely be using her again!! 💜”

I love the new barn addition, the landscape is absolutely beautiful, it's so great for kids and adults! “We’ve eaten here several times since they moved locations in Spicewood. The food has been consistently great; salsa, steak nachos, enchiladas, etc all very tasty. Food comes out at a decent clip. Great location in Spicewood with both indoor and outdoor seating. The service though is often hit or miss. We’ve had a couple of good servers who engage and are friendly, but do feel there is a culture within the restaurant where hospitality is ignored. Some of the staff have come across downright rude, ignoring us, muttering as they walk away, etc. Can’t put our finger on it, but a couple of times we’ve walked away feeling like the staff didn’t want us there and/or didn’t appreciate the business. If they could get that attitude figured out, it would make a tremendous difference.”
