Spicewood's best places for Mexican cuisine are in our list.
“This is hands down the best Mexican food you can buy in the area right now: incredibly delicious, reasonably priced for the amount you get, and great service. Everything is seasoned very well, and we got to have some of their homemade tortillas. We stop by here pretty regularly, I highly recommend it! Be sure and ask for some of their salsa Verde, or their onion sides.“
“Just discovered Beto’s Tacos y Mas. There’s two taco trucks right next to each other at this location. Really friendly and quick service. I was there for breakfast and guess what?! They have Migas tacos. (I’ve had a hard time finding Migas tacos in Austin lately). It was excellent. I’m forward to going back to Beto’s for lunch.“
“Look up my Betos Tacos review for the next door taco stand. I love Los Valedores. Their food is amazing compared to Betos. Betos will be a regrettable decision that costs you more money than eating here.I recommend the Al pastor tacos. Tastes amazing.“
“Compadres tacos offers some of the best tacos in the area. They use fresh, locally Source ingredients. Tacos are served , fast, with a smile. There is generally a line around lunch, but it's well worth the wait and the line moves quickly. I am especially fond of the quesadillas and the pastor plate. The location itself is someone non-descript, but premises are always cleaned and well maintained and its an inviting atmosphere.“
“This taco place is AMAZING. Their tacos are pretty greasy but holy cow are they good. And a great size for the price too! (Be careful ordering a burrito, they’re massive)The people working the taco stand don’t speak great English but they are very friendly and do their best to be helpful. We did have one visit where they had a long line and it took us ~30 min to get our food, but we weren’t in a huge rush so it was okay!“
“Discovered this place by accident, but definitely coming back. The food, service, cleanliness and ambiance are amazing. The meats were chargrilled to perfection, salad was amazing, service very friendly, just downright inviting you to come back over and over. Generous portions, exceptional value, and quality of ingredients, make for an experience to remember.Dietary restrictions: There were gluten free options“
“Great breakfast burritos! This is a true family business. Everyone from the grandparents (Chuspy) down to their grandson works here. I have only been for breakfast but I love it. They are always just enough food and they taste great. You go in and it’s build your own style. I love that I get to pick my favorite options ( I love bacon- sausage- eggs- cheese - with the jalapeno salsa). Next visit I am trying the chorizo! - make the stop support a local place. They are great.“
“Food was Amazing! Was super fresh and piping hot. The tortilla was homemade and was cooked to perfection.2 Bacon Egg Cheese Potato Tacos2 Sausage Egg Cheese Potato Tacos$17The price was a little steep but what isn’t expensive anymore? The lady was, a bit abrasive but I get it. She was nice at handoff. I’ll go back again.Parking: It’s right off the highway so during the peak hours of travel time it’s kinda difficult to get in an out. After your parked you’re 10’ from 71. Kinda sketch.“
