“The outside of this establishment is deceiving, in that it appears dilapidated, and thus the interior and food quality would match.However...This is fortunately not the case. The interior is clean, organized and welcoming. The restaurant portion is comfortable. The service is excellent. The prices are good, from a bit limited menu.Best of all, they accept card.“
“Easy to miss this little dive amongst all the small businesses surrounding 1431 in Kingsland, but made it my first destination of the day due to a recommendation as the best traditional Mexican restaurant in Kingsland. Firstly, this is a cash only (ATM within) and BYOB establishment. For the latter, no bar and I assume one can bring their own drinks but did not see anyone drinking beer. With 14 4 tops, the place is tiny and looks to be well managed and great staff. No frills dining interior but clean and plethora of decor. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. The menu is surprisingly very large so would be great to see how a small place executes during peak times. Traditional options only so if you're looking for fancy, this is not it. I ordered the tortilla soup, (3) Verde "green" enchiladas, half plate nachos, guac and queso. The chicken enchiladas were simply outstanding, perfectly seasoned pure white rotisserie chicken, with great tasting refried beans and rice. The verde sauce great. I got the standard queso which was okay. The guac was outstanding. The complimentary chips and salsa were okay. The Nachos need some help and were nothing special for the price $6.99. The soup was outstanding perfectly seasoned and plenty of chicken and avocados. Ticket time for entree was a timely 8min. Overall, I love family owned and operated businesses and recommend this one. While I'm sticking to 4* review, I simply need to come back to try other items for a complete review. Nice job owners. Will be back. Prices for entrees are good.“
“Great breakfast burritos! This is a true family business. Everyone from the grandparents (Chuspy) down to their grandson works here. I have only been for breakfast but I love it. They are always just enough food and they taste great. You go in and it’s build your own style. I love that I get to pick my favorite options ( I love bacon- sausage- eggs- cheese - with the jalapeno salsa). Next visit I am trying the chorizo! - make the stop support a local place. They are great.“
“Absolutely delicious! Eight people in our group, ages 8-43 years and everyone loved their breakfast. Some of the best breakfast tacos/burritos we have ever had. The flour tortillas were to die for. The breakfast plates are pretty big. Couldn’t finish mine but the refried beans ?!! Also the breakfast burritos are a great traditional size, not small, and full of ingredients! We are traveling thru today and so glad we stopped at this food truck! Don’t pass it up, it’s amazing.“
“Man, what can I say, this place has the best tacos and the best salsa of any place I've ever visited and I have lived in Texas for 15+ years. Always friendly, always great food, and always a great value! Sometimes a little slow in the summer months because the secret is out and everybody knows that this is the place to go! Keep up the great work and we'll keep buying tacos!“
“The food has always been very good at Rea's Bar & Grill. All three of us were very satisfied. The meals were served hot with seasoned fries, which were excellent. The only issue we had was that the service was slow. No one asked me if I wanted another adult beverage. We will return to the restaurant. The food is excellent and will not send you to the poor house.“
“I've passed this place many times & when I finally decided to stop here it made my day! The service was friendly, the food was hands down made with love (which is the best kind of food) & the atmosphere was a nice breezy cloudy day with all of the butterflies out ? 10/10 can't wait to eat here again!“
“We stopped in this morning for breakfast. The service was great the 2 girls up front were very helpful and the food portions was a really good size the gorditas were huge. For the price it's very much worth it especially considering they make everything there. The salsa Verde is very spicy but flavorful. The only thing that was unfortunate was the coffee is self-serve and it was cold.“
“I had the Enchilada Combo with two beef and one cheese enchilada, with black beans and rice. It was really good traditional Tex-Mex with a cold Modelo beer. They do not have a website and hours are split between lunch and dinner, so you definitely need to use Google Maps to get the necessary info.“
“(Translated by Google) I really like the tacos they sell. Also the Ramen Birria and the marinated Tacos. Everything I've tried has been good. They are very nice :)(Original)A mi me gustan mucho los tacos que venden. También la Ramen Birria y los Tacos adobados. Todo lo que he probado ha estado bueno. Son muy amables :)“
“The food is very good and it actually has flavor compared to other Tex-Mex restaurants. I've had breakfast to dinner and I cannot get enough of there food. Staff are very polite and came to check almost every single time I've went. Additionally, the inside is decorated with culture and art, and with pretty cool ceramic statues of them playing with a guitar.“
“I luv there breakfast tacos, an their meat counter is wonderful, so many choices, they fresh baked goodies! On weekends they r out front grilling chicken! an onions an jalenpnos in a foil pack! They have lottery tickets too! Check it out for urself! I should tell u if u don't speak or understand Spanish, it's may be a little hard but it works out!“
“Amazing breakfast! So good that I ate there two days in a row while camping at Inks Lake. Best pancakes I have EVER had. Their barbacoa is amazing as well. Homemade flour tortillas! They could easily charge $6 a taco if they were in Austin… and they are 10 times better than anything you get in Austin.“
