“The server was knowledgeable about the menu. She was able to advise one member of our party how spicy the shrimp Ala Diabla was. The food came out quickly and everyone was happy with their order, even our crazy teen who insisted on eating the spicy shrimp meal.“

“Food and service were great. The beef enchiladas were delicious. The meat sauce that is served on the enchiladas was very unique and flavorful. The neat old building was clean and is in a cool location on the downtown square. Fill your belly full of good food from this restaurant. They won an award for best enchiladas and I agree.“

“Stopped to get gas when traveling through Lampasas and couldn’t resist the smell of BBQ. Had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious! Great flavor and large portion. If I pass through Lampasas again, I will make it a point to stop and eat at Young’s BBQ. Some of the best BBQ I have had!“

“We were hoping that the retro menu items started, they didn't, but the crunch wrap supreme was tasty, the potatoes and beans that I ordered as sides hit the spot. The staff were friendly.Helpful and even though it was late they took time to explain things about the menu. We had not been at a Taco Bell in years.“

“Let me start by saying—I am very picky about my Mexican food. If I can make it at home, then I expect even better from the pros. That said, this meal was phenomenal. The drinks were spot on, but the real selling point? THE SALSA. I’m not kidding—I will take a restaurant off my list entirely if the salsa doesn’t deliver. But this one? Absolute perfection. Every dish was cooked beautifully, and our dinner was so good, it was practically silent at the table. I’ve lived in Lampasas for six years, and honestly, I’m a little disappointed in myself for not trying El Frias sooner. We’ll definitely be back.“
