Cafeteria style with rable service, great BBQ. Got there really close to closing time. They didn't rush us but it was obvious they wanted to finish cleanng dining area.Vegetarian options: Salads looked and tasted great
Wife and I went to Country Kitchen and Bakery before church. We debated on driving to Lil' Tex in Cove, but decided to stay in Lampasas. My wife enjoyed her "Jessie's Mess" without jalapeños, along with toast, and coffee. I had the Chicken Fried Steak plate with scrambled eggs, toast, and grits. The Chicken Fried Steak tasted burnt, but didn't look burned. I ate about 1/3 of it but it still tasted burnt even with the gravy on it. I flipped it over and the bottom was burnt black....read full review

Our 1st time in. Nice little hidden gem. We ate catfish from the buffet. I forgot to take pics of our plates. Food wasn't hot, but it was plentiful and good. Wait staff was sweet and helpful. We plan to return. ?
