If you love a good, old-fashioned bacon cheeseburger...this is the place for you! Also, it's a decent price point. We had a wonderful waitress too. Thank you Fynesse!

The Country Kitchen and Bakery was a recommendation and I did check it out a few days ago while I was staying in Killeen. I was looking for a decent housemade breakfast, i usually have hashbrowns, bacon and eggs. So that's what i ordered- and it was good- the hasbrowns were crispy, as well as the bacon. Just the "sunny side up" eggs were a bit to light, meaning they could have stayed 3 more minutes on the grill. Coffee was strong and bold, thats how i like it.The atmosphere is a bit rusty, a typicial family diner with collectibles on the wall- nice to watch and to explore. There was just one collectible which could offend people, but that's just how advertising was in the 50's.Overall, if you're looking for a good, grounded and honest place to eat, that's the place to go to. I would recommend it, it's worth the drive from Killeen

We originally saw this place on our travels and I wrote it down for future trips. Unfortunately we were not happy about the time it took to take our order after sitting down, 18 minutes to be exact, so our order came in cold but driving several hours and hungry we decided to just eat, not palatable, we actually left more than half and then we asked for our ticket it was over $50! For 2 sandwich’s a water and a tea!!! When I showed the cashier and questioned it, she explained that it was a mistake and the server probably didn’t clear the previous ticket ? that didn’t sound right but I was like, ok. Will never stop here again, we expected a real country style kind of place, they did have a cafeteria like line but it didn’t look appealing, maybe for some it’s ok, but not us ?

Food was Awful!!Chicken Fried steak was not made in-house but was an awful tasting cheap overcooked frozen patty that didn’t have real meat in it!Wouldn’t recommend to ANYONE to waste money here!Worst meal I’ve had!

Our 1st time in. Nice little hidden gem. We ate catfish from the buffet. I forgot to take pics of our plates. Food wasn't hot, but it was plentiful and good. Wait staff was sweet and helpful. We plan to return. ?
