I usually like this place but had a bad experience today. Two men seated behind us were talking on the phone with someone on speaker. Very loud. No servers asked them to stop. I did and it didn’t do any good.
Then, we heard a dog barking and whining. A couple actually had a German shepherd in the restaurant. No service dog barks and whines. I asked a server and was told yes, all dogs can come in. Ok.
Very disappointed in the services we received tonight 05/01/2024. Our waiter was very snappy when we told her our drinks were watered down.
After our dinner was served our waiter asked if we wanted dessert we were a (Party of 5) she walked off on the second order of dessert and we had to catch her attention to continue our dessert order! She was so kind and sweet to our boys. Not to mention at the end, she gave me a hand written note and stickers thanking me for being in healthcare.

The menu features delicious options like fried oysters, BBQ brisket, fried shrimp, chicken fried chicken, a loaded baker, and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The brisket is tender, seasoned, and smoked to perfection, and the chicken is fall-off-the-bone with a nice smoked flavor. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, with nice booths and restrooms, and a down-home ambience. While the service can be slow at times, the staff is attentive and friendly, offering 5-star service that includes quick drink refills and frequent check-ins. The restaurant has a great little bar for quick drinks and relaxation while waiting for to-go orders. Families will find it friendly and enjoyable. The self-serve salad bar is fully stocked and fresh, and the hush puppies and fries are also worth trying. For drinks, the adult sprites and jalapeño & cucumber margaritas are refreshing. For dessert, the fresh-made peach cobbler is a must-try, and the chocolate-covered strawberries are a lovely touch. With reasonable prices, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere, Splendora Cafe & BBQ is an excellent choice for a meal out, and many customers look forward to returning.
