Just left the China King. I grew up next door to a Chinese grocery and I was very good friends with their children. I was always at their home which was right next door. I had been looking for something like home cooked Oriental food. I can't believe that I have found such a place. I had the Kung Pao chicken and my husband had the Moo Goo Gai Pan. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and they were in nice size pieces. Will I go back again, you can bet your bottom dollar I will. I have to admit that I was bad on my diet because I ordered 4 spring rolls and 2 egg rolls to take home. Unfortunately they never arrived home with me because once I started eating them I just couldn't stop. And I didn't think there was an Oriental Restaurant in the Canyon Lake area. My prayers have been answered!

Good Chinese food at a good price. We had their Mongolian beef and General Joe Chicken which came with Hot & Sour Soup. We had very good service. We were able to order from the lunch menu even though it was later so it was a very good price.

We liked the sesame chicken and triple delight… cashew chicken was good but prefer the vegetables of triple delight (broccoli, cabbage, water chestnuts) versus cashew chicken (mostly green bell pepper and undercooked carrots).Lunch specials are from 11am - 9pm!

We went there Friday night approximately 8p.m. the restaurant was completely empty except my party of 2 ? we were promptly greeted and seated by our young lady server . She didn't seem too happy to be there but was pleasant enough. The restaurant itslef isn't the prettiest or nicest.... But the food, excellent! I had the Thai pepper basil chicken with steamed rice. It was perfectly spicy and it tasted fresh. Veggies in the dish were crisp and the portion was just right. I had the wonton soup as well and it was quite tasty. We will definitely be visiting again ?

My partner and I have visited a few times recently and it's our new favorite place to eat. The egg drop, wonton, and hot & sour soups are all top tier. Their iced tea is deeply flavorful and delicious. We usually get chicken with garlic sauce and sesame chicken, which are also very good. I'm so glad to have a great Chinese restaurant in this area!

Mom and pop owned restaurant with a very family friendly atmosphere. NOT to be confused with the nearby China King Buffet. (This one is most definitely NOT a buffet.) Having dined at MANY Asian restaurants through the years across the US, I can safely say this one is slightly above average with generous portions, prepared consistently well.Vegetarian options: Most dishes can be ordered with shrimp, tofu or extra veggies. It’s a good, low-budget vegetarian place to dine. I’d rate it highly recommended if not for the fact that this is true of nearly all Asian restaurants.Dietary restrictions: They are generally able to modify the ingredients (amount, kind, spice-level) of most of their dishes.Parking: Large retail store parking lot with more than ample parking.Kid-friendliness: Very kid/family friendly restaurant with tables that can accommodate large groups.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access both inside and out with easy maneuverability. Disabled accessible bathrooms.

Has really gone downhill since we used to be regulars 10 years ago. All of the food we ordered tasted like rancid, old burnt cooking oil. My daughter actually got food poisoning and became pretty ill from the crispy beef dish she ate there. Very disappointed in the return visit we had been so excited for.

I've eaten there for 20 years and will do so another 20. They are great people and beloved by the regulars, of which there are many. I'll be grabbing their takeout tonight, as a matter of fact.

First time there : food was very greasy and oily. Oil tasted "rancid trans fats" Crab Rangoons tasted like oil. Egg roles tasted like oil. Childs plate chicken pieces were greasy and hard. We ended tossing the food. Couldn't down the rancid oil

I ordered the chow mein with Jasmine tea. I got vegetables with wonton chips on top and a mug of black tea. I asked for a new pot and got one with a green tea bag and a black tea bag. I would rather be told you don’t serve jasmine tea than fake it. When we brought the chow mein up to the waitress she said the wonton chips were the noodles. When we brought it up with the young man at checkout he called up the manager and she explained to us that everyone makes it differently and that’s how we do it here. I have never had a chow mein that didn’t have actual noodles. She made no effort to accommodate us for the failure to meet expectations. Her comment was unecessary, her hospitality was lacking, and we paid for a meal that was not eaten. Additionally, the chicken fried rice my husband had was bland. This is a good place for wonton soup and not much else. Try Wah Kee off blanco instead.
