We've gone here off and on for years. It used to be our favorite but years ago something changed. We've tried it as couple of times since and it has improved, but it still not what it used to be. We love the beef fajitas - sliced thin (so salsa goes in between the pieces) with a distinct lime pepper marinade. Not as flavorful as they once were, but better than they had once slipped to. The shrimp quesadilla was not impressive. It used to be grilled shrimp with fresh cracked pepper and it was simply plain boiled shrimp - flavorless. Huge disappointment, especially for the cost. We were offered a free cup of Gumbo (why - at a Mexican restaurant?) so we tried it and it was more like shrimp soup. It was a broth and not a roux. We tried it but did not eat it - appreciate the kindness of trying it for free. On that note, the staff was friendly and attentive. Not our go to, but will go for fajitas once in a while.
The food is ALWAYS great at Alicia's! The service is superb. Everything on the menu is delicious. Be sure to ask about dessert - it comes fresh from their own BAKERY.
I have frequented the restaurant many times. Usually, there is no wait. Food gets away from standard Mexican and offers some nice dishes that have always been amazing. Service is always quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is good. Background music isn't so loud, so you can have a conversation comfortably.
Street tacos are awesome
Salsa was terrible and I love a good Tex Mex restaurant salsa. Shrimp enchiladas were mediocre. For the price I should have went to Gringos at least the margaritas and enchiladas are consistent. JUST. GO. TO. GRINGOS.
I used to frequent a different location several years back so I was hopeful when I drove past the 2920 location while looking for a place to eat. Much has changed the past few years. Service was still great, I just don't recall the food tasting so plain. I also know for fact the prices were nowhere near as high. I expected to pay more, but what I used to 35ish with tip now cost 60ish with tip. Guess that's the 6% inflation right there. The dinner plates also came beanless for some reason. They are now served with rice and corn in lieu of the more traditional staple item.
A bit pricey for the quantity and quality of food
My spot!
Had a great lunch, very attentive service. Charros beans by far the best I’ve ever had in a long time. Fajitas were melt in your mouth, will return again.
Don’t get me wrong the restaurant is pretty but the food is old and tasteless and the main waiter there hates his job. My recommendation close it down and regroup.

Came here with a party of 6. We were seated quickly, the service was great, the food was fantastic!
Amazing food!!!!
We sat at the bar and ordered dinner. The service was slow considering there were only like 6 or 7 tables sat in the restaurant. My burrito was delicious but the rice was undercooked and under seasoned. Chips were good but the salsa was a bit too spicy.
Carne asada street tacos and the Alicia nachos are my favorite items. The restaurant is well maintained and inviting, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.
They are very inconsistent with prices compared to what you get . and the service is pick and choose. I feel like they are racist idk how when yall Mexican but the cypress location is 10x better. Food, drinks , service and atmosphere. Don’t waste your time at the kuykendhal location
