About La Casa del Abuelo

La Casa del Abuelo is a hidden gem with a warm atmosphere and excellent service. The food is delicious, amazing, and great, with rich and authentic flavors. Everything tastes fresh and freshly made. Dishes like the frijol con queso pupusa, birria quesadilla, churrasco plate, and the Early Star combo are perfectly cooked. The Salvadorian tamale has very tasty chicken inside and nothing is bland. The restaurant offers a variety of flavorful options, including pupusas with different fillings such as queso con loroco, revuelta, and queso. The menu also features Tamal de pollo and Baleada de pollo supreme. The fried chicharrónes are more like carnitas—pork belly fried with no breading—and are full of flavor. Both dishes come with a mild but sharp orange sauce that complements them well and helps moisten the pork. The restaurant has a cozy, alley-like space with a beautiful mural on the long wall that brightens the place. Service is polite and timely, and the clean restroom adds to the comfortable experience. The ambiance includes tropical tunes that create a welcoming vibe, making it a wonderful place for breakfast or any meal. This restaurant is a definite favorite that customers will return to.

Absolutely delicious! Service is top notch!

Trato excelente, una gran variedad de platos y cada uno más rico que el otro, de verdad muy rica la comida, sigan asi 10/10

This is not a taqueria. It’s an amazing restaurant with Honduran and El Salvadoran influence. We went for breakfast. Our food was cooked fresh, very flavorful and delicious. The owner visited with us and shared his story of his amazing journey, his family and how he settled in the Houston area. Would HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try, I can’t wait to go back and try the lunch/dinner menu.
