Avalon Diner Reviews
Today was my first visit to Avalon. I had already decided that I would get the grilled mushroom and onion hamburger with a strawberry shake and onion rings. It was better than I could have expected. SO GOOD!!
This will be my go-to place from now on.
Kudos to my server, Farrah, who provided great service and attention to detail. Thank you for an awesome meal and experience.

Avalon Diner offers a classic, old-timey dining experience with a range of options to suit every taste. The restaurant serves breakfast all day, making it a great spot for brunch or dinner. Blue Plate specials and delicious breakfast options are available during the week, while lunch and dinner menus offer additional choices. The atmosphere is charming with cute booths and a hanger rack, creating a true diner feel. The staff is friendly and prompt, providing excellent service. The food arrives quickly and is tasty, with favorites like fried catfish, grits, and eggs. The decor is beautiful, and prices are very good for the amount of food served. Homestyle cooking that satisfies the heart and the belly is a hallmark, making Avalon Diner a staple in the community. Visitors often find the attention from the staff warm and welcoming, and the menu extensive with something for everyone. The biscuits are considered a piece of dough heaven, and the waffles and bacon are often praised as perfect. Despite some concerns about the booths being hard, many find the overall experience nostalgic and worth the visit. Avalon Diner remains a popular destination for those seeking good food, great service, and a nostalgic vibe in Sugar Land.
