Lost the original charm of Mahesh kitchen. Now just over priced Indian food with poor service. Would just go to any other regular place.

The only impressive thing about this restaurant is its ambiance — the décor and setup are definitely eye-catching and give the illusion of a fine-dining experience. Unfortunately, that’s where the luxury ends.
The food is extremely overrated and far from what they’re trying to showcase as “premium.” The flavors are mediocre at best, and presentation alone can’t make up for the lack of taste or quality.
What made it worse was the untrained staff — they struggled to pronounce the dishes correctly and had no idea about the ingredients or menu details when asked. For a place that positions itself as upscale, this was very disappointing.
Overall, it’s a one-time visit for the ambiance only — not worth the hype or the price.

Usually, I don’t share detailed reviews for Indian restaurants, as I truly appreciate the effort they put into providing warm hospitality and good service.
Coming straight to the point; we visited this place for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and tried their buffet ($60 for two). The ambiance was lovely, and the service staff were courteous and attentive, which made the experience pleasant overall.
As vegetarians, we found the options a bit limited, with dishes like sweet corn soup, tikka chaat, samosa, paneer curry, okra, plain rice, and dal makhni. While the food was decent, we felt the buffet could include a bit more variety or unique items that aren’t easily made at home, something like dal baati or malai kofta would really stand out!
It might also be nice to see a slight price difference between vegetarian and non-vegetarian buffets, just to make it feel a bit more balanced.
That said, I’d definitely be open to visiting again and giving it another try; perhaps I’ll call ahead next time to check out the day’s buffet menu. I appreciate the restaurant’s effort and hope to see some exciting new additions in the future!

Had dinner tonight at Mahesh’s Kitchen. The ambience is modern and clean-lined, with a full bar and a relaxed but elevated vibe.
Ordered: Mango Lassi (excellent, rich and smooth), Avocado Bhel (fresh, crunchy, tangy), Paneer Shashlik (well-grilled paneer with vegetables), Paneer Makhani Curry (creamy tomato gravy classic), Mushroom Masala (well-prepared), Garlic Naan, Lacchedaar Paratha (layered paratha), Butter Roti. Everything was well-paced, the flavours were clean and confident, spice level balanced (I asked for medium). Service was attentive.
If you’re looking for a fine-dine Indian meal in the Houston/Stafford area this is a strong choice. I’ll definitely return.

I stopped in and had the lunch buffet. It was my first time there. The food was excellent and the service was great! Everyone made sure I had a welcoming experience! I will be going there often and can’t wait to try the dinner menu. I didn’t feel I was dressed up enough as the decor and ambiance are amazing but the staff assured me I was fine in my jeans. I cannot say enough good things about this place!

It was actually pretty good! Had the andhra fish dish and I loved it! Beautiful decor
We chose the Sunday Buffet. It was a good variety and items and the food was hot and tasty. The staff was very welcoming and very attentive. We will keep this place in our dining rotation.
Wonderful food, service, & ambiance. This was the first time I had been there and I will be back! They have wonderful home made ice cream. We found out because they found out we had a bd and so brought out the ice cream.
Mahesh's Kitchen offers a variety of appetizers and entrees. Service is excellent as well.
