Update 12/4/25 Ate here today got the gumbo and salad it was delicious large chunks of seafood crab and shrimp.. salad was also exceptionally good, the bacon in it was great. The poboy with fries was huge with a huge portion of fries also thr fries were good with nice seasoning (salt).
We also ordered the poboy and it was ---- Good food good service good variety..

One of my favorite seafood places. This one in Sugarland is always good. Service is usually amazing. Today it was not. However, I think it was just the server we got and it is not this way most of the time.
We have been going to Pappadeaux seafood for years. But to our surprise this time, The gumbo was watered down, no okra, or tomato, or bell peppers! Fish was tasteless until I added salt, peppers, lemon and some of the salad dressing to it! Bread was microwave heated instead of oven heated and was still wet from the water that was splashed on it prior to heating! It had become chewy and tasted stale. Salad was not as crisp as Greek salad should be. In short the food was not worth a fraction of what we paid for. I recommend that PAPPAS stop giving franchises to people who can not provide the quality and taste that PAPPAS restaurants are famous for. We were disappointed I we will not go back to this location for food again, but will continue going to the one in Houston and Austin locations. This review is for Stafford location only.

I had fried shrimp and chicken and was delicious. The staff was amazing except for the manager that was walking around with an angry face. My waiter was super helpful and made sure I had everything I needed and kept my sweet tea filled. I would definitely go back here and I recommend this place to anyone who wants some great Cajun food.
