Calling that man of mascot, sometimes it Be Your Own Kind. If it wasn't for Walter it wouldn't be a Smokehouse, that was his idea. It was Walter (The Chef) recipes. It was him that went viral. It was Walter that brought people from all across the United States to try that barbecue. And no he didn't give him anything, what he did was try to file a license for tenderism in his name only...smh

The disrespect to a man who did you nothing is insane . I don’t pray the best for your business . I pray you learn to respect people .

Had dinner here and it was amazing. The brisket was tender and full of flavor and the BBQ sauce had just the right kick. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was great and it’s easily one of the best halal BBQ spots I’ve tried.

I have came here twice so far and I have nothing but amazing things to say. The food is amazing. Melt in your mouth barbecue as you should expect.
First time I called to place my order and the owner made it super easy and I was there in 15 mins and order was ready to go. I asked for extra sausage and the portions are just right. Smitty's plate is perfect for two.
Second time I called and they weren't open yet but he still answered and clarified and I called again to place my order when he was open and order was ready on the dot once again and the service is amazing. Food is even better. I would 100% recommend for yall to try it if you like barbecue.

Brisket sandwich lacked flavor. Ribs were good but also lacked some flavor. Service was great

Decided to try this food truck because they had ox tail. Had a pound each of their oxtail, brisket and short ribs
-the oxtail was great, delicious and soft
-the short ribs still had the silver skin on it, that's something even I take care of when I grill. Apart from that texture was soft and juicy but taste wise it was a bit bland
-the brisket was just extremely dry and not even sliced/chopped, it was just a hunk of beef in the tray. Very little flavor
-I also ordered some of their sides, Mac and cheese and potato salad were good but I never received the banana pudding I paid for.
Overall low score is for missing items and poor quality of the food apart from the oxtail

Baked beans 4\10 (I tried to eat it but couldn't. I haven't thrown food away in a long time. Today, I threw too containers of food in the trash. This and the dirty rice)
Dirty rice 4\10 I was not a fan (May Allah forgive me. It was so awful.)
Potato salad 5\10 tasted store bought
Cabbage 4\10 tastes like it was a day old, mushy
Mac 'n' cheese 4\10 lacked flavor and cheese plus it was bit mushy

I drove 30 mins to get to this food truck. Food came quickly (7 mins). I liked the BBQ sauce. Quick, friendly service
Unfortunately, I didn't like any of the food. I was hoping it was better because I haven't had halal American bbq in a very long time. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Was looking for a authentic halal Texas BBQ spot, and found smittys nearby. Safe to say it met my expectations! The meat was delicious, and tender off the bone. The sides were great as well, mainly the mac and cheese! Smitty himself was friendly too and offered great customer service. Definitely will be back for more!
