The day I visited I was turned away without as much as a small sample of their wines due to a private event. It certainly would have been helpful if it were listed as CLOSED. It was shown as OPEN on google maps and I travelled quite a distance to get there. Very disappointing.

Another great winery! Beautiful setting among oak trees on property that was a part of the LBJ ranch. The wines are very solid, both whites and reds. We spent a Sunday afternoon sitting on the porch, sipping amazing wines, and enjoying great service by attentive staff. Highly recommend.

A hidden gem. Good variety of locally grown grapes Wines. Some wines only available at Ab Astris. About a mile away from 290, so no road noice. Veronica is not only knowledgeable but passionate about her job. She's funny, approachable and tentative.

Just had our second visit to Ab Astris yesterday in less than a year, and while the wine was delicious and refreshing on a warm Texas afternoon (congrats on the Tannat award, very good stuff), the real pleasure was our informative presentation by Taylor. He is very passionate and educational about the wines offered. Listening to his explanations is just as enjoyable as partaking in the wines themselves. Would recommend stopping here for Taylor's fun and informative exhibition if for nothing else!

What a beautiful vineyard. Lovely location off the 290 madness with rows upon rows of their estate vines. Staff was super friendly and the wines delicious.
Pet inside and out. Plenty of seating as well in both locations. Outside was particularly expansive with all seating covered either by the tasting room structure or the large oaks.
