Aki Sushi & Ramen Sugar Land

Outstanding. Wanted to try something different without driving way to the heights. So why not give AKI a shot. I ordered several items to give the restaurant a chance. I loved it. Very tasty. Nice presentation. I'll be back to try more items. The king crab bite wasn't my favorite but it was worth a shot.

We noticed this place had recently opened and being the Sushi connoisseurs we are, we decided to try it out.
Great decision, the restaurant itself was fairly large. It appeared to be well kept and clean. Tables were bussed constantly, so that was nice.
The menu is very large, with several options for everyone. Our food arrived quickly and the presentations were nice. The rolls were good sized and portions on all of the entrées was good sized. The kids ordered Ramen which they both liked. The batter on the Shrimp Tempura appetizer was lightly fried and very good. Overalk, all of the food we ordered was pretty good. Also, the waiters were helpful, friendly and pretty attentive. The restaurant also gave us a Cheesecake on the house which was fantastic. A very nice gesture to top off our lunch.
We'll definitely be going back when we can!

The restaurant is elegant and the staff were pleasant. They had variety of options and had a lunch options from 11AM to 3 PM. We enjoyed the sushi and sashimi ..

The food was amazing! My wife got a Tonkotsu Ramen and I got a beef bao and a duck breast bao, Baos were so soft and the meat melted in mouth, Ramen was great too. We also ordered two drinks that were delicious, we got Akirita and the japanese old fashioned, the only issue was that the drinks were served very late when we were almost done with our food. But overall we loved the food and service and we will be back, THANK YOU AKI SUSHI AND RAMEN👌👌. Oh the fried Calamari was so good too we got that for the appetizer.

well sushi ramen drinks fun WTH friends

Pros: good dessert, tasty ramen broth
Cons: tough chewy meat, ramen toppings are bad, lackluster service

The beef tongue was tough and chewy. The ramen broth was good, but everything else about the ramen was bad; the meat was tough and chewy, the eggs tasted like they'd been pulled straight from a freezer without being reheated, bamboo shoots tasted like they'd been stored soaked in fish sauce. While it was somewhat busy, it wasn't THAT busy, so the fact that we were mostly ignored with waitresses rarely coming to check on us was kinda bad. The manager was great, I feel bad that she had to come over to us.

The sad thing is, as bad as this place is, it's still the best eatery in this mall complex. I still can't recommend it.

Best location. I enjoy shopping at the mall then stop by this restaurant for my favorite Hibachi food. My daughter also enjoys the front yard just outside the restaurant.
