There are a handful of chain restaurants and bars that I visit whenever I can and one of them is Bar Louie. I have a Bar Louie location not far from me, but on occasion, I find myself in nearby Sugar Land and in need of food and adult beverages. A place that satisfies my needs is Bar Louie in Sugar Land Town Square. This Bar Louie location is medium- sized with booths and tables, including high top and low tables. You may also prefer to sit at the bar and, if the weather is right, there is some outdoor seating as well. The atmosphere is generally relaxed, but it can get rather loud during the busier times of the day. It has a somewhat upscale look to it, but it is still casual overall. With the menu, you will find a nice variety of American- inspired foods, like flatbreads, burgers, and sandwiches; a few larger plates; kids menu; and desserts. Most all of them are worthy of a try, but I tend to go for one of the burgers when I visit here. With drinks, Bar Louie has a good selection, and this is usually the main reason I choose to visit here as opposed to other establishments. I like any place that has a large number of beer taps and that is exactly what they have here. I do wish the locally- brewed Houston- area beers were more plentiful, but there is still a good deal from which to choose. And if you’re not a beer person, never fear- there is a large variety of liquor and specialty drinks. I have had good luck with the service at this Bar Louie location, so all is well in that regard. With parking, you are not likely to find an open space right out front- these prime parking locations fill too quickly. You might be able to find another place to park on the street, but many of them are metered. My advice is to park in the free parking ramp and walk. It’s not that far away and you can save money on parking- money that can be used on food and beverages instead. I have always liked Bar Louie. This location in Sugar Land Town Square is a good stopover for food and beverage. It has the requirements I demand for a bar and grill in a casual yet semi- classy setting.

I travel to Sugarland for work a lot and it was so nice to be able to walk across the street from the hotel and get a good drink and meal BUTTTTTT that has all changed. Now you have to beg for some one to notice you. Then when you do get your meal the bartenders walk by several times as you try to wave them down for silverware.. No co2 to poor on tap beers. Fish and chips were ok. Would have been better if I had a beer to wash them down but that would have been asking to much. Walk about a block away and you will find a lot better places Sad to see how this once fun place has gone so down hill. Just fyi been sitting here waiting on getting my check as I write this review but yet no one is around.

So Bar Louie use to be a easy go to for late night dinner or quick drink spot with friends. However not any more, I'll Pass and stick with somewhere else. Hot fries are important let alone when you order an entree hot would be nice. My fries weren't and the waitress brought back luke warm fries clearly that have been sitting to the right of heat lamp. Instead of going back and forth with waitress I told her sometimes you don't know what a person is going through and being the customer don't go back and forth with a customer , therefore I don't want my entree period and take off since I didn't eat it. The manager comes out and asked what happened and gave the excuse it's because "Bar Louie is busy right now". So when bar Louie is busy are they discounting food? No . Manager poor and lack of customer service and managerial skills is a reflection of how the restaurant is being ran and no waitress training. So people keep your expectations low when going

Service is always slow, the food comes out slow, it's over priced and half of the time it's mid. I work near it and am disappointed each time I have given it another try. Just the other day went to just get some food to go for my lunch. Waisted the whole lunch waiting for just an order of fried pickles.

Visiting from Colorado !!! My server Lina was very informative on the menu and explaining the flavors. The salad I had was delicious! I sat outside in the patio area. Weather was nice . I recommend this place. After eating , you can go around the town center and shop and window shop.

Service was terrible. No one came outside when we sat out there. I decided to go in and go to the bar and was not even acknowledged after waiting there about 5 minutes. We ended up leaving and going to another bar.

Love their burgers and fries especially when it's such a good deal on Tuesdays! I got the bourbon bbq burger and was quite impressed. It's quite a mouthful and a chunky beef patty. I'm used to the bbq burger at smash burger and this is definitely much beefier! Lol I also really enjoyed their voodoo pasta! Big portion size, good amount of shrimp & sausage, and light but tasty sauce. Not heavy or too spicy! Meh to the pretzel bites. Kinda boring and while the mustard and queso are good the pretzel itself was lacking. Much better at flying saucer if you want pretzel bites.
I came for the Tuesday special. $5 burgers on Tuesdays... which were absolutely delicious the craft burgers do have an up charge which was $7. We had the bourbon, all nighter and it's my jamm. Every bite was delicious with fries and tots. Unfortunately the downfall to Bar Louie was the service, we sat ourselves and ordered drinks, waters for the table, a side car and martinis but never received a refill and the waitress kind of let us fend for ourselves. I do recommend this place of business because of the tasty food and great drinks, just go with caution because the service is not the best.

Went with a group of friends. one friend got there before us and waited 15 minutes with no service.Once the rest of our group got there, we waited another 10 minutes with no service. I asked the bartender if we had a swrver and was told yeah. Few minutes later, we asked a busboy who said hed find someone. After asking 3 different people, having multiple servers pass us without even a glance and waiting for over 30 minutes for someone to help us (no water, no menus, no "I'll be right with you"), we left and walked down to a different bar/restaurant that had quick and friendly service.

It's been a few years since I've been to Bar Louie. This was my first time visiting this location. My cousin and I were looking for a place to have drinks that was open late (they're open until 2am). I didn't realize it was located in the Sugar Land Town Square. Luckily there are a couple of parking garages near the restaurant and they weren't full. The garage is free which is a plus. Kelly our server was awesome! We switched to a larger table after we ordered our drinks because we had more people coming to join us. We didn't realize the larger table that we moved to wasn't in her section. She checked with her coworker to see if she could take our new table. We were prepared to close out with her and open a new tab but luckily, we didn't have to. For drinks I ordered the Effen Good Martini and boy, was it F'in good! It's cucumber vodka so of course I loved it. I also had the Kiwi & T which is a gin based cocktail. It was good, but not as good as the martini. It was also a bit sweeter than the Effen. My cousin and I shared sliders and they were good. I also ordered a small order of fries. A few minutes had passed and I didn't have my fries so I asked Kelly and she admitted she forgot to put the order in. She apologized and put the order in. It wasn't too big of a deal and I appreciated her taking responsibility. She did a great job and was so personable!

The live music was nice, waiter was nice too, but the drinks were not too good. A little watery and not enough alcohol nor flavor. I would love to try it again someday when they have enough supplies and better drinks. Update: they have huge Tree Roaches that will craw on you if you sit in the outdoor area.

Instead we waited 20 min to be acknowledged, bar tender came up to us, stared at us, and then rudely asked "well, what do you want". We had to ask for our appetizer 3x. And were never asked if we would like more drinks. Have given this place several chances because food and drinks are good, but this will def be the last time. Would NOT recommend.
