First timer here, I loved it. I live 25 minutes away and the food was still hot when I made it home. My new go to place for General Tso, House Fried Rice, and Shrimp with Broccoli. Very affordable and nice atmosphere.

Lunch special with fried rice was good and fresh. Unfortunately, the spring roll was spoiled (glad I cut it open before taking a bite). Also found dried food stuck on the silverware (chilli on the spoon and rice on the fork) after unwrapping it.

On our way home from Houston we were craving Chinese food. We wanted authentic, not chain restaurant food. Stopped here because it had high reviews. Will definitely be coming back. The place was spotless and the service was good. Our server was polite and attentive, making sure our glasses were always full of tea and we had everything we needed. The food had good flavor, we enjoyed every last bit of it.

I finally tried Cafe Goo Goo Yen after years of driving by. The restaurant is clean and the staff is cordial. I had high hopes for the food given the positive reviews and the photos shared online. The food is mediocre. It comes out piping hot, which is a positive but lacks flavor. I tried the fried rice with my meal and I thought they mistakenly gave me instant brown rice, there was one spec of egg and it was flavorlessโ€”that was a common theme with my meal. Egg drop soup - flavorless, rice - flavorless, shrimp and chicken in brown sauce - flavorless.

small portions compared to other chinese restaurants. Lunch specials are ok, but this last time, we ordered the beef and broccoli and actually ended up having to throw most of it because it had a gone-bad taste, I meant to call the store to bring it to their attention but life happened and didnt get the time to do so. I ordered the kung pao chicken based on other google review photos but as you can see it looked more like a general tso chicken with some celery. Not sure that we will return.
