Came there on a Wednesday around 1:30pm with my brother and fiancé. We ordered a few dumplings and the bill came out to around $40. I decided to tip about 10% of the bill since the service was average and the restaurant only had 2 other tables to accommodate to other than mine.
The server saw how much I tipped and right after I completed the payment she had asked me “is that it?”. I looked at her because I was processing what she had said to me and she repeated herself.
I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants growing up and 10% has always been a pretty good tip especially for average food and service.
That was incredibly rude and I really do hope this does get reached out to the owner or manager so they can retrain their staff. My family has always been in the restaurant business so this type of service/ behavior (especially waiting till I completed payment to ask me this) was highly unacceptable.

Traditional family style Chinese restraunt. Started off with cashew shrimp with generous amount of candied cashews and shrimp, simply delectable over rice. However the peking duck is the star of this show. Crispy duck skin with tender meat pillowed by a soft bao, topped with fresh veggies with hoisin sauce. Took a friend to try this out for the first time and they loved it.

This will be the last time here. I waited an hour for dishes to come out. When the dishes came out, they tasted old and horrid. Just sloppy. i read that there was possibly new management? Good luck to them, new or old owners. they have lost my business.

I do not like commotion and arguments ..I have been a silent patron until today. Lunch time your waiter stuck me in middle of the room and told me that there are no available small table, I'm ok with it. I ordered egg bitter melon and fried sole fish. Bitter melon came and I ate, no problem. As I wait for the fish, it took some time, fine it's busy. Server dropped a fish, but not the deep fried I ordered, I thought I made a mistake, I ate it nonetheless then your waiter with the fried sole came and said the kitchen made a mistake.. well I ate a portion of the first served fish so I just went along. I am ok to pay for anything that came, however, your waiter didn't give me the sole fish and I got charged for that too
This is a bad business practice and I am a local business owner.. for a measly 9 dollar fish you guys have lost my business and my family. I don't need any refund, I was waiting for your waiter to do the right thing but he went all the way. Shame

HORRIBLE, pls do not go to this place. The food tastes so bad that I can’t describe it, and the restaurant is dirty and smells disgusting. Honestly I don’t know how they’re selling food in such insanitary environment.

AN UPDATE:

UPON MY RETURN FROM A BUSINESS TRIP, I REVISITED JADE GARDEN LAST WEEK! BOY DID THE BUSINESS WENT DOWN HILL! THE FOOD ACTUALLY TASTE SO SALTY ( I THINK THE COOK WENT ON VACATION),THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE NOW HAS THREE INDIVIDUALS, ALL OF THEM NOT WORKING, SIMPLY USING CELL PHONES TO READ WHATEVER!

This restaurant must have changed owners, the front of the house is now replaced by a different lady…no smiles, very abrupt and rude, feels like we owe this restaurant money. The food took forever, and it is truly not to the standard the last time we visited. Must be new ownership or chef. The restroom is so so dirty , smelly and full of mildew! How did this restaurant pass any type of health inspection. Mildews at the AC vents, ceiling tiles, simply yuk, and yuk. This used to be a reasonably priced, average food and great service restaurant a few months ago. Now, a huge disappointment! Please chime in if you feel the same way!

It deserves 5 star if for take out only. Please fix the AC!!! We went 2 times in Feb and now July, both with a baby. The AC was non-existing both times and the whole place was like a sauna with customers fanning themselves. We had to strip down the baby and he was still red faced. You are going to loose loyal customers!!! The food is superb in my opinion so what a pity. It also seems to be short staffed.

Dim sum not that great. Very pricey but food prices have gone up everywhere.
AC was not on and it was hot. Looked up and saw that ceiling and air vents were disgusting. Moldy. Will not eat here again unless they fix that.

I am so upset that Jade Garden has deteriorated to the current state. I found rat debris on my table! So disgusting! Food is at best lowest tier, not even cooked ! Maybe the last time I visit. Unless you all believe there is an improvement

One of the best Chinese restaurants in the area in my view. Dish quality is consistently high and authentic Chinese. In-restaurant and take out experience are both excellent. Dim sum and seafood dishes are excellent. The service at this restaurant is also consistently kind and professional. We enjoyed dining here.

Update: We still very much enjoy this Chinese restaurant for both dine in and take out. The consistency in their food quality and service is outstanding. We are very thankful to have such a wonderful Chinese restaurant in this neighborhood.

Tried calling the place the phone was busy upon reaching the place I found the phone was hung up—nobody greeted me waited for a few min.nobody greeted me a few min later a man wants to help then one guy said something in chinese—then the man walked away—without saying anything—-I left since I felt they don’t want my business—worst exprience ever had and i would not even recommed to my relative or anybody in this manner.—if only i could even give them a zero star.

Went to Jade Garden for the first and the definitely the last time.
The entire experience was a disaster. We waited almost an hour just to be served cold food. Several items we ordered were completely missed, and the staff seemed disorganized and uninterested.

I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone's

Several waiters ignored me. Once I finally got service, the food took over an hour to arrive. A dish didn’t even come so we had to cancel and leave. Nobody apologized. The staff is poorly trained.

We’ve been loyal to Jade Garden for years—even through a couple of ownership changes—and our latest visit reminded us why we keep coming back. The new team has leveled up the quality: every dish arrived hot, fresh, and packed with flavor, from the perfectly seasoned entrées to the crisp, not-too-greasy egg rolls. Service was just as friendly and attentive as ever; our server checked on us often without hovering and made sure refills landed before we had to ask. It’s great to see familiar warmth paired with noticeably upgraded food—Jade Garden continues to be our go-to spot in Missouri City for dependable, delicious Chinese comfort food.

The food was a let down. The soups were way too salty. The entrees meat were too bland. The fried rice seemed to be regular rice with yellow food coloring added to it. The service was great and the prices are low. But the food quality was a disappointment. The interior is large with plenty of seating. Parking is shared with other businesses in the strip center. I honestly don't recommend.
