Old Place Cafe Reviews
Cozy, comforting, and full of homemade charm! The food was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, with that welcoming neighborhood-cafe feel. A lovely spot for a relaxed meal and a taste of classic comfort food.
Sounds like its name! Traditional and casual! Ate a bowl of noodle soup $8, a little spicy that’s the way we like it, and a small dish of pork liver $3. No tip is required. Lots of parking. Affordable, economical, and casual👍🏼
They have the best chili oil in town. Everything is handmade including noodles which is great. I get one star off because I think they need to cut down salt and chicken powder in the soup base and I almost always get MSG headache afterwards. People need to eat healthy! Also, I don't mind if they raise the price so to raise the funds for a renovation.

The Old Place Cafe is a cozy restaurant with a simple decor and a diverse menu. The interior is quaint with benches at each table. The staff are super friendly, warm, and welcoming, and they really take care of you. Customers can help themselves to water, tea, hot sauce, and utensils. The menu is available in both English and Chinese, and they now accept credit card payments. The restaurant serves a variety of classic Chinese noodles, soups, dumplings, and appetizers. Dishes include beef noodle soup, lamb soup, pan-fried pork dumplings, chicken lo mein, spicy wonton, potstickers, Beef Cabbage Dumplings, and Lamb Skewers. The Zha Jiang Noodle is a classic.
The food is amazing, comforting, and the prices are cheap, making it a great option for the working class. The noodles are always a hit with a great texture, and the dumplings have the perfect ratio. The beef noodle soup is savory with a nice kick and the lamb skewers are hearty and fragrant from the cumin. The concept of this place is very carb-focused. The restaurant is known for its consistent, high-quality home-style Chinese cooking and nostalgic flavors. Definitely worth a visit.
