Food was ok but portions were small. Concept was cool. Everything was ordered on a screen that kept glitching, food was delivered on a conveyor belt and drinks were brought out by a robot. They still asked for a tip.

UPDATE: We actually got food poisoning! This is the worst sushi place we have ever tried. More than anything the food quality was not it. If you like good sushi don’t waste your money here. I also got ramen and I could tell it was reheated and tasted gross. We tried many different things and all of it was bad. Also we both got major stomach issues after eating. Robot and conveyer belt were cool but I was so let down by food.

I am not a fan of sushi and its minimal to no interaction with the staff. The restaurant is nice and playful
My friend and I drive about 2 hours from outside the area just for this kura. We visit multiple times a year (or month if the collab menu is good) and have never left dissapointed.
Compared to other locations they have a much better care for temperature and hygiene. The kura in katy (NOT THIS ONE) has a bleach/hydrogen peroxide smell that permeates the area and leaves guests wondering what smell/gross stuff they're hiding. This location is simply fresh, cool, and a good place to eat if you just want some sushi.
I think with any sushi restaurant the first thing that people notice is temperature and hygiene (at least I hope lol) and this location gets an A+.
As far as the menu goes there really isn't a bad roll. Can't forget the beer either.

Service...what service? They really only sit you down and clear some of your tables. Everything else is done via the machine up top.
We had ordered some stuff as the belt didn't have the items. At the end, the food took so long to come out. The prices seem to have gone up the last time I went but this time I took the kids and they enjoyed it.
Loved it

I absolutely love the idea of sushi stations, especially when you are hungry and do not want to wait. You simply come in, get seated, and start eating right away by choosing whatever looks good to you.
I really love Kura and have visited not only this location, but also many other Kura restaurants in different cities and states. For me, Kura is always a sign of quality. The fish and rice are consistently fresh and delicious, and the sushi is always genuinely good.
I also really enjoy the fast-service concept. This is not the type of restaurant where you come to sit for hours and slowly sip a cocktail. No — this is the place to come when you are truly hungry and want great sushi right away.
You absolutely have to try the Lychee Oolong Tea. It is incredible. I could drink that tea for hours, days, and months without stopping. It is unbelievably delicious.
The staff here are wonderful, and the dancing robot that drives around with music is such a fun touch. Everything is clean, pleasant, and well organized. Overall, this is an excellent place.

It's a fun experience, I'm sure there are others in the area but this is the only one I've found nearby and my daughter and I love it. It's a regular outing for us! 😊

Good food and service but price per plate is around $3.60 so can add up.

Restaurantji Recommends
The food is pretty good. However, the value is not there. At $3.60/plate, with the 2-4 pieces you get, you are better off going to a different sushi place; you're moreso paying for the conveyor belt sushi experience than anything else. Service is good, but I'd avoid the weekends. Oftentimes, you end up just ordering mainly through the screen on weekends because of how busy it can get

We had the pleasure of having Aaron as our server! He was fast, very polite, and even engaged with my son to test his knowledge of anime characters. Such great customer service! Will definitely come back again! Thank you, Aaron!

This was worse than mall or gas station sushi. I would not recommend eating here.
On top of being really low grade sushi, the restaurant, table, signage and utensils were sticky and unclean.

We went at lunch. They seated us in about 10 minutes. Not bad. The place was very busy and we were quite hungry. When we sat down the train of food was empty all the way around. We asked a passing waiter if they’ll have more food out because none came in the first 15 minutes on the belt and he shrugged, said apologies and walked off. We had ordered a miso soup and two drinks. We gave up and left having not had anything. 17$ for two soft drinks and a miso soup and no food. What did come on the belt was watermelon, cheesecake, and something that looked clear and gelatin like. 10/10 would not come back.
