About Mahek Indian Restaurant

Mahek Indian Restaurant is a hidden gem located in a small strip mall, offering a variety of delicious dishes. The standout items include samosa chaat, chutney, Chicken lollipop, and butter chicken. The chicken tikka masala and bullet naan are also highly recommended. The restaurant is especially known for its outstanding Indo-Chinese dishes like fried rice, Manchurian, and Hakka Noodles, which are considered the best in Houston. Customers often choose to pick up their meals to-go because the place is small, but the food is fresh and consistently good. The samosas are perfectly crispy with flavorful, spiced filling, and the vada pav is authentic, fresh, and packed with flavor, reminiscent of street food from India. The service is friendly, prompt, and attentive, making the experience enjoyable. Many visitors praise the food for being super flavorful and just perfect, and the chef’s excellent cooking is often highlighted. Even for those who have moved away, the restaurant remains a favorite spot to visit whenever in Houston. The chutney is a highlight, and while the chicken biryani may not be a favorite for everyone, the overall quality stays high. Customers also appreciate the owner’s dedication and the restaurant’s catering service, which has received high praise for last-minute event needs. Despite the modest ambience, the food truly makes up for it, drawing many from afar to enjoy authentic Indian and Indo-Chinese flavors.

awesome vegetarian food and good sweet food varieties
Mehak Indian Restaurant is a fantastic spot with flavorful, well-made Indian food and warm hospitality. I stopped by today and tried the chicken boti, vada pav, dahi puri, and dal makhani, and everything was excellent.

The chicken boti was tender, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. The vada pav had that comforting street-food flavor with just the right kick. The dahi puri was fresh, crisp, tangy, and full of flavor, and the dal makhani was rich, creamy, and deeply satisfying.
