About Straight Out of Bangkok
Straight Out of Bangkok Reviews
Thai parents said this was one of the most authentic places in the area. Looks like they got bad luck with some reviews of people who are used to highly Americanized Thai.
Multiple one star reviews from people basically complaining they're cooking with the correct ingredients/style instead of whatever substitutes they're used to.
Update: Google has published the new name of the restaurant now. Look for "Bangkok Street Food". Same set up and same owner as far as I know, so the reviews under this name should still be valid.
A really sweet Thai lady from California runs it and works very hard.
Pineapple fried rice with beef was perfect. Reminded me of my visits to Thailand and Philippines. Thank you!
Straight Out of Bangkok is a restaurant located inside Gridiron Bar & Grill, known for its delicious and authentic Thai food. The menu offers a variety of dishes, such as Thai Beef Jerky, Pad See Ew, Papaya Salad, Chicken Larb, and Mango Sticky Rice. Prices are reasonable, with a red curry lunch special costing $14. The restaurant also offers a choice of soup or salad and a vegetable spring roll with the lunch special. Service is a highlight, with staff providing excellent customer service and being attentive to orders. However, the restaurant does not serve sticky rice. Some dishes, like the Tom Kha soup and red curry, may be missing some flavor or not use fresh enough ingredients, according to some customers. Overall, Straight Out of Bangkok is a great spot for Thai food in the area, especially when service from staff like Kasie is available.
