Have to share about this coffee roaster/shop in Sugar Land. Tucked into the corner of the plaza is this gem. Joseph the owner is a joy and an abundance of knowledge. They roast their own beans. Offer a select amount of drinks specials. They offer coffee brewing supplies and sell all their roasted beans on site. So happy to have found this gem, right in my neighborhood. Shop local!!!!! Check them out!
I discovered Zellie's through a teacher of mine who said it was a wonderful coffee shop near his home. What I discovered was much more. The owner Joseph is a very personable caring owner that will make you an excellent cup of coffee but I didn't realize he also roasts his own beans as part of his business with a great mission behind it. I bought a bag of the Evelyn Espresso beans and they were the best beans I have ever sampled. I have been a loyal customer ever since....
This is perhaps the best coffee shop I’ve visited. But be aware: it’s not a grab and go. It’s a place to call home. Joseph, the owner, is among the nicest and thoughtful baristas I’ve met. He is generous and genuine. I’ll be coming back for the rest of my life.
