Sonja is awesome! She is so friendly and remembers us every time we come in to the restaurant. The other staff is great as well. We always get our special table and she knows exactly what we want to start our order off. We had the waffle chicken kabobs today and they were fantastic.

We googled who served chicken fried steak in sulphur springs and Haystacks was one choice. We are so glad we gave them a shot. The food was excellent. My husband ordered some of the best CFS and mashed potatoes he had ever eaten. The onion rings rings were the best I've ever had. They were not tough at all. I had the loaded baked potato with pulled pork BBQ. We ended our meal with the Key Lime icebox pie. Wow! It was so good! Our waitress was Aspen. She was absolutely wonderful. Very attentive, soft spoken and kind. She added so much to our pleasant experience. Thank you, Aspen.

This was definitely worth getting off the beaten path We were on our way to Texarkana, Tx from DFW decided to stop for some food this was worth the stop , even though it was downtown it was worth the extra turns. This is a fantastic place. We ended up in Sulphur Spring and stopped at Haystack for dinner. We split the chicken fried steak, home cut fries and brussle sprouts. My Goodness it was fantastic, the fries were perfectly cooked, the CFS - y’all it was fork tender, light and fluffy! Then the walked by with the French Toast Bread Pudding- heck yeah.
