This is literally my favorite barbecue spot in North Texas. First of all, meats and sauce are gluten-free. Second, the brisket and the pulled pork are top notch, as are all the side dishes. I’ve been going here for years, and it has consistently been great. Yes, it’s in an old building. That’s part of the charm.
Flavor is great. Real smoke flavor. Spicy barbecue is great. Turkey leg, pork ribs and brisket is excellent.I took some friend from other states and love it. Noel, the cook of the place is a nice guy, friendly and kind. Prices are very good, cheaper than other places I have visited. This became one of my favorites. Well deserved 5 stars.
I’m a truck driver that delivered to a customer down the road. Called Shorty’s and spoke to Yolanda at first, she told me that I can park my semi truck there if spend about 20.00 in the restaurant. I called back and let her know I only had 14.25 in my pocket and that I’m 215.00 negative in my bank account.
