Very good Belle and soup dumplings here. Enjoyed some pork dumplings that were tasty, although the pork was a bit more fatty than my liking. Great place for a quick bow or dumplings.

The soup dumplings were delicious! Yet the pork belly dumplings were sad...they each had one tiny piece of pork belly and a hair in it.....lovely.
Buns were not good. The pork was just a sausage patty. The fried chicken was amazing tho, just like Ashley. Good customer service and management.

I doordashed this. The coleslaw was way overdressed and had almost no taste at all; it was warm, wilted, and really, really gross. The filling in the egg cream was bland, separated, grainy, and gross. The soup dumplings were OK but extremely bland. There's a reason why they're offering bogo on doordash. Food was all bland and mostly gross.

Staff did not speak English. Totally unprofessional. I have placed a call with ICE about this location.
The manager Edgar is great!
The food was delicious and they have good Boba tea!
I also like the decor, it’s a fun place to grab a quick bite for lunch
Nice and quiet. Pretty good Chinese comfort food. Great fast food menu choices.

Great food. WARNING: the vietnamese coffee is Vietnamese in name only. It's hella mid.
Food was pricey for the quality. Taste was just ok

As someone that used to work there and managed for a bit, the quality has been completely destroyed.
I ordered uber eats because I was like .. ya know what, I can go for a bao. However, everything about the recipe has changed. they're no longer fluffy, the buns are comparable to plastic even, and a micro portion of dry meat in them.
While I was working there Staff were being over worked, and underpaid with high turnover over rate. Instead of fixing current problems, they open new bao’d ups. I watched this all unfold and food quality decline before my eyes
… but .. it got worse .. this uber eats order was bad-bad.
Bring back the quality and also, the culture of the bao. Yalll had a strong culture in 2020 and it’s upsetting to see where this business is headed.

Unless it’s hot, sweet or salty, there’s just not much in the way of seasoning to the food. Even the chicken steamed dumplings were bland without any sauce. The Szechuan fries had a seafood flavor and oh so salty! It’s tastes like the Taco Bell of Chinese food. The best thing was the strawberry lemon tea!! Way too expensive for what it was.
I have been coming here for a while now and have noticed the place slowly decline in overall quality. The place is always absolutely filthy. Restrooms, floors, tables, chairs, everything. The buns always come out cold as well when I dine in.
I’m not sure what is going on, but I’m sad to see one of my favorite places become my least favorite.
Fast food Boa's
It is cheaper to buy frozen boa's just to microwave them. Anyone can be a boa'd up boa reheater. Consumers should learn better
As a previous review-writer on Bao'd Up Sunset Valley, I felt the need to update.
I make a visit here every week or so for takeout, because I work very close by. I always order the same small snack: two Juicy Pork Bun with Boa'd Up sauce, and an Iced Korean Americano.
Unlike my first experience (which my previous, deleted review was based on), the service has since been detail-oriented, and generally flawless. The quality of the food and drink are an excellent indication, and I look forward to sampling more menu items on future visits.
The name on my ticket today was Alex W. but, in any case, the lovely counter people are always so sweet and helpful. The food items I get are consistently very tasty, and I wanted to re-review Bao'd Up in the favorable light I have come to know them. Give them a shot if you love Asian food & drinks for sure!
