The service was good but the food was terrible. We had the halibut and my husband and I both thought we were going to be sick. The presentation of the food was pitiful. So sad this restaurant has gone down to this level.

My wife and I shared several appetizers. The half-price appetizer deal is always good, especially for appetizers that are worth more. The service was great. It was a nice meal out.

This is a really nice white tablecloth steakhouse. The ambiance is top notch. A really warm glow about it. The service is top tier also. Maddie is superb. Now the food. I always get a shrimp cocktail at the fancy steakhouse. I always assume that it’s a fresh shrimp cocktail never have been frozen. This one had been frozen. You can tell by the shiny wet look it has. I was so disappointed. Started things off bad. Plus the shrimp had been marinated in something that was so incredibly spicy. Like burned my tongue. But I had ordered a pomegranate margarita so it cooled my mouth. Although it did taste a little like cough medicine. Then we got the salads. My Waldorf salad was really really good. My dining partners Cesar’s salad was really good too. Then the 10 oz filet I got was maybe the best steak I ever had. Cooked perfectly to my desire. It was seasoned perfectly and just amazing. Then I got some free cheesecake for my birthday. It was amazing too. The manager Joe is a really nice man. He made sure we were sitting in our preferred table. So very accommodating. I WILL BE BACK!!!!!

The wife had the salmon my son and I both had 10 oz fillets. Phenomenal cut of steak and cook perfectly. Bryan was very attentive and visit our table often and make sure we were all good. If I ever make it to Temple Texas again I'll definitely be back.

We come to Temple once a year on business, always visit Cheeves. We had two of our customers with us and were treated to an outstanding meal, great service and wonderful ambiance. Cheeves never fails to live up to our rembered expectations.

It looks like the bathrooms haven’t been cleaned in months. Dirty no paper towels they smell, missing soap dispensers. But I didn’t eat in the bathroom. Bar service is great, good mixologists. Kristy and Bill. Food has gone down hill since the early year. The best decent place in this downtown. Or the fanciest.

Not customer friendly, the wait staff rushed clearing the table, some food items were over cooked. We will never go there again. Price was extremely high, Texas Roadhouse would have been a better choice. Wait staff was not trained in fine dining or proper food service protocol. Server was not interested in why we were there. Any question was a bother and there was no accommodation for specific request. Management did not appear to be present. The bartender was the go to person to answer question. This restaurant was recommended as the best in Temple. Huge Disappointment!
