We stopped by Dairy Queen around 8:45pm, well before their 10pm closing time, hoping for a classic ice cream treat. Unfortunately, we were told the only options available were a Dilly Bar or an ice cream sandwich—because everything else had already been shut down for the night.
When we asked about it, the staff seemed frustrated and not exactly welcoming. It felt like they just wanted to be done, which I can understand after a long shift—but as a customer, it was disappointing.
Ice cream is literally the heart of the DQ experience. It’s the reason most people stop in. I’d expect this kind of thing from a fast food place where the ice cream machine “just happens” to be down, but not from Dairy Queen, where ice cream comes before the food on the menu.
If the machines need to be shut down early, that’s fine—just be clear about it or consider adjusting the posted hours.
I also spoke to the manager. Rude dude, gonna actively avoid this one

The tacos are always amazing! Today they were extra and so good. Thank you DQ for letting me get my taco fix. The team at the drive thru is friendly.
Parking poorly designed, drive through surrounds the building, puts your life in danger regardless of the quality of food. Lots of seating inside if you get to it. Employee moral was mediocre at best. Whole place needs a redo. No photos you don't want to see this.
