Soulfood is so awesome... The owners are very nice and friendly. They have a Strawberry Tea that is to die for. And I recommend the pork chop plate with greens/cabbage, canned yams and cornbread.

We ordered this at my job for a Juneteeth celebration, so I can't comment on the place or service, but one thing that stood out to me from all the food was the chicken. Omg it was so delicious. It was the smoked or roasted chicken, and that thing was damn good. The sausage was also delicious. I didn't really like the mashed potatoes too much. They were a bit bland. The mac and cheese was good, but had a very sharp cheddar flavor, which, depending on who you are, may be a good or bad thing. Cornbread and rolls were good as well. I will have to come back and try the ribs because they looked packed with flavor.

I'm new to Texas and was looking for some good food. I found PJ's at their location and ordered a pork chop dinner w/greens and sweet potatoes to go. The pork chop was thick and tender the greens and sweet potatoes were delicious too. I definitely recommend them and i will be back.

Wonderful!While traveling to Austin Texas from Colorado we stopped at PJ’s. What a great place! They are located to the far right if you are facing the VFW building, just through the double glass doors.The dining room is big and immaculate! There are pool tables and a nice touch screen jukebox with a wide variety of music. The restrooms were super clean too with plenty of stalls.You order at the counter and then take your seat. Drinks and food are delivered to the table once ready. PJ and his wife were super helpful with menu questions. There were 4 of us, we had the fried fish, smoked ribs, collards & cabbage, mac & cheese, broccoli rice, cornbread & sweet tea. EVERYTHING was delicious!Between the atmosphere the food and the ultra sweet owners this place is a MUST!!!!

Just stopped by new location in the VFW! Green beans & greens were so flavorful & the chicken was amazing. I'm so happy that you were able to open up again y'all are awesomeMac & cheese was outstanding, the smoked chicken was absolutely delicious, it was moist and tender. The green beans I think are about the best I have had. Everything was good and the cornbread ❣

I really love this place and it was my second time here but today since they were out of the regular whole chicken wings they only gave you 3 party wings. When usually u get the whole wing. I think they could have compensated a little better instead of the 3 little ones. I did ask for the wings to be fried hard and they were not. I would have stayed longer to let them know but I was on my lunch break from work. Sadly disappointed ?

The kitchen is kept very clean every time I come in! The cabbage and greens mix is good, the catfish was ok, the peach cobbler was cold but it had good flavor. The tea is UNMATCHED‼️ the staff is always respectful, helpful and easy to converse with.
