Dry sausage kolaches and old tasting and dry donuts. Not good for a Sunday morning.

I normally do not write bad reviews but, I will today. I drive to this donut establishment every weekend (Fri-Sun) and have the exact same order 1/2 dozen mixed donuts of my choosing with an occasional 2 cheese and sausage kolaches added ordered at the drive-thru. Whenever I come, no one seems friendly, it feels awkward as if they don't want to communicate. I ignore it since they are usually quick. However, today I went through the drive-thru and the blonde head young woman gave me a terrible attitude when I told her I requested 1/2 dozen mixed. She immediately started suggesting donuts I do not eat and so I said "no" and repeated to make sure that she didn't mishear me but she proceeded to have an attitude repeating the suggested donuts that I did not want in a slow-talking manner as if I am deaf. I ignored that and repeated my USUAL order to her and I hear her tell her coworker the wrong order again (adding donuts that I do not eat at all). So I go inside the establishment to request another servicer and no one asked about what happened or seemed concerned. I will not be visiting this Shipley's location again. Instead I will drive to the one located on Meadowbrook drive since they are polite and have class. I only traveled to this one since it was a closer distance.

The first time I went maybe 3-4 weeks ago was fine! I went through the drive thru and the gentleman helping me was so kind. I’m not sure of his name but he did have a large tattoo on his neck (which doesn’t matter but like I said I don’t know his name) Super polite and efficient. I went the next week and an older woman with short hair was working the window. She didn’t say hi or how are you or anything she just looked at me. Which is totally fine, but proceeded to repeat my order back incorrectly and when I started to repeat myself she closed the window in my face. She was looking right at me when I was talking so I definitely think she heard me. She opened it back and repeated my order to me which sounded correct and charged my card. I ended up getting charged for an extra donut that I didn’t ask for or receive. No big deal; I thought maybe she just had a bad day. I went this morning to give it another shot and the girl working was younger, sweet but seemed so rushed. She too repeated my order back incorrectly and then when I corrected it she said ok and charged my card, I ended up with a donut in my bag that I didn’t want. Maybe it was a misunderstanding or she misheard me but she was really in such a hurry and it wasn’t very busy. This was at 10:00 am.The food has been okay, not the best shipley’s I’ve been to but definitely not the worst.

I came here with my friend, didn't even get to order because u can only do one order per car. Which is ridiculous. Then when i wanted to just order with her, they didn't even acknowledge me.

Donuts are good, I normally don't have a problem when I come but I was told I needed to call my order in ahead of time because I ordered a dozen and a half assorted, a dozen kolaches. It was 5:30am, I've been coming here for the past 3 years once a month for the same order and never had to call ahead. IDK it's a donut shop, I just kind of figured they would have a couple dozen donuts already made. There is another Shipley donuts closer to where I work, so I have just taken my business there. I work in customer service, and even when telling a customer something they may not want to hear...if you say it politely, it comes across much better-and instead of loosing that customer and their business you could gain a life long fan! I should also add, not all the employees at this location are rude, most are very sweet.

Went to get donuts which they are the best donuts in town but the location on 31st has very poor customer service I got in drive through line sign said if ordering more then 4 dozen to call in order got to window ordered two and a half dozen then was told by employee that that would do it this time but next time to call in order first if it's more than 2 dozen I mean really you only really serve donuts and it not like they are made to order at the time you place the order and they still got my order wrong they need new management and employees two young people at the window was more worried about playing around with each other then my order I would not waste my money on this location again I'll go all the way to south side unless the owner owns both then I guess I'll find a new place with better service

Avoid this location. This review is specific to this location. The signs posted on the doors, windows, and drive thru are aggressive and rude at best, racist dog whistles at worst. Not welcoming at all.The sign that told me to “have you order ready and get off your phone” might make sense if you had a menu board, but we need our phone to see a menu. Also, the manager was visibly pissy when they filled our order wrong and we nicely asked for the correct thing. (Donut holes. They said they were out at 8am.)The employees looked uncomfortable and apologetic due to the managers passive aggressive attitude toward us.Avoid this location if you want Shipley’s.

This is my favorite Shipley's Do-Nuts in this area. I usually place a very large order of 70 kolaches and 4 dozen donuts with 55 juices. It is always ready to go when I arrive, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and it is just an all-around great experience.

Excellent staff. Fast and courteous

Excellent donuts and coffee. This is the morning coffee spot for a small crew of locals. Get there about six am to hear all the latest gossip and share a newspaper.
