Excellent food! Love the Turkey, Brisket, sausage and chicken. The corn is amazing and the Mac & cheese is delicious.

Me and my husband love the food here. But tonight we came here. We came with our son and ordered fantas in a glass bottle. And didn’t have a bottle opener on us. The two gentlemen cutting our meat in the back called us dumb for ordering glass fantas we couldn’t open. It was an uncomfortable time eating in the establishment after we heard them saying things about us. That were not necessary and professional. It will definitely be the last time we eat in the establishment.
Everytime I eat here I have an anxiety attack. I’ve only eaten here twice and each time I go into a panic attack. I’m not sure what is in this food or what but I cannot. Also it screams cafeteria meal. It doesn’t remind me of true bbq at all but I guess that’s a chain restaurant for you. I can’t speak much on the staff because both times I’ve been I received takeout but the interior looks nice and clean. The food is below mediocre and honestly you can find better bbq at many other places in the area.
My wife and I were excited to try a new lunch spot when we came across smokey mos BBQ. Upon entering the inside is very well laid out and very nice. The menu was interesting and had many mouth watering meals.
I opted for the slice brisket with potatoes bacon and cheese, and my wife got the pulled brisket sandwich. When the food arrived her sandwich was pretty plain, just a bun with an everywhere or slightly below average amount of pulled brisket. If you're used to bucee's brisket, you'll be disappointed in the portions here. He sandwich actually tasted good.
I don't know what happened with my sliced brisket, but it was by far the worst I have ever had. They might as well have just heated up a slab of fat cause that's basically what I got. 4 it 5 slices of 80% fat and some brisket crusted ends. It wasn't like you could trim the fat off either, it was rampant through out the entire slice. Extremely disappointing and nauseating.
For the nearly $28 we paid for lunch we were expecting much more.
The place looks great inside, menu is appetizing, portions leave much to be desired. Maybe this was an off day or something, but when you let them know it's your first time dining there you would think they would try to make a good impression.
The absolute worse bbq in the city of Temple! Paid 30 bucks for 2 burnt ribs….never coming back would give no stars I’m pissed
Love This For Dine In Or Delivery Restaurant! Friendly Staff!!
Honestly if you learn how to make and prepare meat, you can make a meal far better tasting and cheaper than what is offered here. Tldr: Overpriced dry meat.

Very pleased with whole experience.
I ordered my husband a plate off door dash. The meat was very flavorful, but the sides needed a tad more seasoning. Overall, its pretty good. We would order again.
Got two items
Pork burnt ends: 4/5 - pretty tasty, some were moist but some were tough but overall would get this again. It’s pretty sweet so I would get something that’s not as sweet to balance it out.
Pork ribs: 2/5 - has a little strong flavor but it’s not bad at all but it was pretty cold and could’ve been better if it was actually warm.
I’ll stick to Smokey Mos in Georgetown, the food at temple SM is undercooked, brisket tastes like barbacoa the ribs are hella salty.
Always a pleasure spending my moola at Smokey Mo's Temple
