I stopped in to pick up a plain cheesecake and a strawberry cheesecake for a co-worker’s birthday. I also got a cinnamon roll, and some orange creamsicle cookies.
The cinnamon roll is the best one I’ve ever had. Not in Temple, but in Texas.
The cookies are so moist and fluffy it could be mistaken for a muffin top except for the crispy bottom.
Yet somehow, the food wasn’t even the best part of my visit. As incredible as it was, my conversation with the chef - Anita, was even more enjoyable.
An actual chef, Anita explores the savory side as well, with paninis and breakfast pizza, and other delights. She has a deep passion for, and connection to the city of Temple and the local community, which makes visiting her shop worth the extra drive every time.
This is one of the best kept secrets in Temple.

For the last four years prior I used several bakeries in the Belton area to order a birthday cake and met with problems ie forgotten/lost orders, burned cakes, wrong color etc. And apparently as one baker in Belton told me the month of March was too busy with weddings to take my order. So I decided to look elsewhere. I noticed this bakery on my phone and called to order the birthday cake. Great success!! S&S Bakery was fantastic!!! Ordered and picked up a perfect cake, right color, right flavor, right everything. The service was exceptional with friendly people!!!! Overall a wonderful experience!!! I would definitely recommend using this bakery for all your baking needs. The owner works with you and takes care in making your order perfect!! This bakery offers other items too such as cookies, tarts, sandwiches, items etc I can’t wait to try.

I've been telling myself I needed to try this place out and I'm so so glad I did. I ordered 5 different items during breakfast and I was not disappointed one bit. I didn't want to share anything. It really is a little bit of sweet and savory and everything was absolutely delicious from the quiche, to the fig Danish, the Blueberry cheesecake and the 2 different flavors of focaccia bread. Customer service was top tier and I'll be a returning customer for sure. Can't wait to try all the things!
